5 hours of direct is a minimum really... try and place them to get more. They will do okay...they just won't grow like gangbusters.

if you want to keep ur plant small, just top it. this will still allow for ur LST, and you wont have to minimize the amount of light given to the plant. plus if you keep giving it 12 or more hours of darkness, as soon as its ready to flower, it will. If you want it to flower as early as possible then do that, but otherwise just top it to controll height. also i found that topping allows the branches (you know the ones that you can make clones) to grow more vigirously, and produce more bud.

well there is a diffrence between shade and dark.. so i dont think it will flower .. i know if you grow anywhere near a street light it will never flower... i had a 20 foot plant and no bud and then the cold weather killed it

I find this really funny but extremely depressing at the same time lol

I dont know how you can state trifoliate plants are very common. Ive only seen it once in 50 or so plants, and it was only at one node.

yeah I've never had one of all the plants I've ever grown. I would say it's pretty rare not super rare like other mutations.

This is ur first grow and don't worry... you are going to make mistakes. But as long as you learn from those mistakes, it's all good.
