Is Obama Cleaning House and Raising the Price of Weed?

Well, it is a shock to see raids in California on clubs.

I am not sure what is going on but I am trying to really see what is happening and why.

One of the aspects I am considering is that our Cannabis is showing up in places like New York and if so that is a clear violation that the Federal Government has a right to act on.

But another possible aspect is that President Obama is adjusting the Cannabis market and the effect will be to shore up the price of weed which has fallen this past year and could fall even more with a larger supply.

Is it possible these raids will keep the value high?

Will the little guy make more money after this is done?

Sure Obama will look tough on crime and pot but will it also beef up the price of a zip?

I welcome your thoughts.

Perhaps it is unintended or maybe not.

Keep an open mind on what is happening because it is our new reality.

Perhaps monsanto is ready to step in along with merck to announce they now own the patent on all cannabis and anyone who violates this will be forced into slave labor camps for the rest of their life? If you haven't caught on by now obama is a liar and does what other people tell him. His handlers would love mass riots. He'd love for pot smokers(even medical)in CA to riot. He's send in the cia to throw molatov cocktails and make it a violent protest. Then he'd declare martial law and cancel the elections. It's time to impeach him along with brown.

I have often wondered what is the ultimate goal behind these raids politically. What does his campaign have to benefit from it? I would imagine that if anything, he would be doing the opposite and going for the same young crowd he appealed to in his first campaign. I know lobbyers are ultimately responsible but "why are they going about it this way?" is the question?

I like the last two posts.. They somewhat hint at what is really the end result.

Indeed.

So far I see that yes it is very likely that big sales and big production is happening.
That industrial sized grow ops are abundant and that the combined output of all growers who provide for market ( all markets ) must be hella tons and multi-millions of dollars.

So the Federal Government is stepping in and taking out the top tier of their choosing and supposedly leaving the core of the medical alone.

But I am with you guys. What is the net result?

Obviously those able to hide their operations will thrive or maybe those who are acceptable from a federal point of view will stay in business.

What The Federal "policing" of California cannabis cannot do is stop cannabis in California. That is a given.

So yeah.. What is the net result? Teaching a new generation our old ways of hiding and dealing in the black market way?
Keeping the price of schwag stable?

Keeping the price of black market weed stable?

Yes some are going down and that is not right but I have a feeling that a majority of our modern generations don't cry many tears because that is how we are now.. It just makes room for the next guy..

Feel free to share your point of view.

Ofc3.JPGCould this be the start so Obama can reverse his platform and run for reelection on the "Legalize Marijuana Platform"? I worked wood flooring for a long time. It was a fact that there was too much work to be finished to worry about perfect jobs. So crews come and go like said: the good, the bad, and ugly will make money legal or not. So let us get it legal so we can grow and all make money! Let the market decide the price of 'schwag'.

Satire? Seems the government is controlling mexico border, border patrol caught with 7oo+ pounds of mj. Obama will do anything to get reelected? So would reversing his policy be any different? If it were legal to grow would the market set the price of available supply? I just wonder what percent actually grow? Or would grow if they could. Politics is all about numbers.

We need to have a show of numbers no a riot. I cannot vote in jail. But I would show up in Atl.Ga for a count. http://wh.gov/4e8 http://wh.gov/4ed I am not afraid to be counted. Who is going to hunt me down for "In God"? Voted on all mj petitions.

So when the police clean out the protests on Walstreet are the protests going to turn violent? I do not think that would advance the MJ cause.
I saw the news 3 eldely persons at a funeral got into MMJ brownies and were too stoned to stand with out assistance. So they did not kill or rape each other. We know the truth, we need a National Pee test day for all government workers. Get the statistics of how much of gov. is supporting drug trade.
I do not drink or smoke but I could grow and make a little money. Got 1 good okra plant waiting for frost.

The US government has long been known to deal with some pretty insidious factions and warlords, so who is to say that they don't deal directly with the mafia here and the cartels south of the border? I hesitate to say it as fact because of the extreme nature of the mexican drug war, but the more that they take billion dollar payoffs from such entities the bigger the payoffs will get. When a cop is on the take they don't always just look the other way. Sometimes the favors involve disrupting the competition.

I'll say it again - the mexican cartels are the biggest players here - they take in something like $8,000,000,000 per year from selling pot to the US - and they have murdered 40,000 people in the last several years to do so. They then spend it all on bribing officials to stay in business. So, they end up with around $5,000,000,000 profit annually. If that is the little guy profiting then great! ;)

My bad. My experience with our politics forum is that many threads slide towards the same theme and connecting blacks with chicken has been a favourite slur. I hoped to deflect that from this forum.
Perhaps I misread you.

United States Patent 6,630,507 Hampson , et al. October 7, 2003 Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants

Abstract Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia. Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidoil, are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses useful in the method of the present invention. A particular disclosed class of cannabinoids useful as neuroprotective antioxidants is formula (I) wherein the R group is independently selected from the group consisting of H, CH.sub.3, and COCH.sub.3. ##STR1## http://thechronic-le.blogspot.com/2011/05/government-licensing-big-pharma-to-grow.html

MJ is like anything else, and all one has to do is follow the money. Contrary to popular belief, Washington is NOT stupid. It is all about the money. Obviously there is more money to be had by keeping pot illegal, or you can bet your ass it would be. SOMEBODY or many somebodies are making money by it's illegal nature.
The "war" on pot has made law enforcement and corrections such a huge machine that the impact of legalization on that front alone would be devastating. Obviously they have weighed the pros and cons of legalization and taxation, and find that the money generated from that would be less than it is now.
It has nothing to do with common sense or the will of the people. It's all about the Benjamins.
