Is anybody dealing with insomnia from shift work? Would a doc give a script for this? Can anyone help me, I don't want to waste mine or my doctors time.

shift work insomnia?
trade shifts.

Ask your Doctor. That's what he is there for.
Is insomnia on the list of things that make you eligible for MMJ?

it is but you have to be diagnosed with it.
in the MMAR days, you had to have the approval of your specialist in order to get an ATP but compassion clubs here in BC will give you a membership if you show that your family Dr agrees with you

My script isint for insomnia but I do suffer from it sometimes and yes it does help. Under mmpr I'm pretty sure it's covered but wether or not your doc will prescribe it is another story. If you get an official disgnoses it will be a step in the right direction.

Sleep can disturbed to the point of near death....so Yes its a disorder that's covered.
You can probably go see a sleep specialist, who would be able to prescribe, but you will have to
see your gp first to get a referral.
Usually sleep specialist's do psychiatry and things like rest-less leg as well, so be sure to let the specialist know
that you plan to use mmj to combat your sleeplessness and possibly any other issues you may have.
I had not slept a full night in 5 years before I finally got in to see a specialist, and I was on that near death road...
so you really should do something about it sooner rather than later.
You should also be aware some of these doc's charge a hefty fee to get you your mmj paperwork and
right now thanks to the gov....the only option you have open(legal) is MMPR (sorry to inform you)
and LP's...who are basically ripping people off with swag meds.
I my opinion you would be better off using black market meds...at least until the court case is settled and staying incognito....
I know the thought of being legal sounds appealing but that piece of paper...isn't worth very much these days...
and good chance the government will try and screw you over...should they get the opportunity ..
I hope you manage to get some sleep soon

Oil is wicked good for sleeping......better than pharmas for you too.
Go oil...go black market or make some your self...easy to do once you obtain the herb.

It was a poor attempt at a joke. Clam down.
Fair enough...and it does leave a fkn terrible metal taste....it's gross.
Very effective for getting 6 hours of sleep though.
P.S. I still believe you have issues and should seek help. ;)

ok .. so you get 6 hours. and what are you left with and how long are yuo left with it? eg..taste issues...and other side effects.

I guarantee if you started taking 0.50 mg's of oil two hours before you'd like to sleep. You'd sleep for at least 6 hours the first night...
Unless you get up to have a piss or something.
Make sure you have a glass of water at bed side. :)
TRY it at least. Better than the shit yer yappin about. What have you got to lose?
It'll put your head back on straight...have regular sleep...eat more :)

I suffer from very bad insomnia and i refuse to take any type of sleeping pills. A tiny bit of Indica dominant concentrate on top of a nice strong afghani with a little ac/dc(high cbd) mixed in always does the trick for me.

I guess that taste thing stays with you, never really leaves. A little groggy for the first 15 minutes after waking up.
....I'm going to try that thanks gb. You're right, nothing to lose in trying. I just gotta make some oil.

I was on imovane....same kinda thing....horrible taste....
mater of fact The script has one pill out of it....
It tastes so bad when it repeats....I could only ever try one...
The taste woke me up,,,,,after about one hour sleep...and I thought I would be able to rinse it
out of my mouth...but to no avail...It just kept on getting stronger for about 4 or 5 hours....
mind you this was after 11 days straight with not even 1 wink.of sleep........so the one hour sleep was better than
nothing...
