The science of flushing is on Chuck's side. He knows this. Those of us that have read this same thread 100 times over know it. It just hasn't been dropped into this flushing thread yet. Go back and read a few older threads on flushing and know the trap you are walking into. :bigjoint:
I think that is what i implied...that the science may be on his side. I also suggested that science progresses and changes...because different people see different things and explore further. I have never discounted the science here...

But i have suggested there maybe more to it. The science behind growing weed is still very very young. The israelis have been at it for 20 years or so...and just recently the west has come on board with that due to changes in laws....

There is a long way to go. Again... many people claim that a last flush before harvest heps. In my experience it certainly does. I also know that it certainly does not hurt....

Thank you for the reply Dr. Is there a specific humidity you're trying to achieve in the jars? And are they also kept in that 70+/- room when cracked? I see other growers have made simple jars with HM display built into the lid. I'm happy to do that and I also have no problems creating a specific climate room to dry in. Do you dry the whole plant as one, or cut branches? Do you trim wet or dry?

Excuse me if you've since answered the above questions, the thread seems to have taken a turn.

Thanks if you can help
1: I've done it so long I don't know for sure. Simply a matter of it being not too dry as to smoke well in joint form - I might guess about 60% adjusted by need in the very end....Sometimes when done adjustment is made with the bovita packs...It should smoke like a tobacco product.
2: Yes
3: I cut branches and leave stem on everything till done and trim those off.
4: Wet is easier for me (and my patients who come in to work as trimmers). That's more personal preference.

Hahahahahahahah.... wtf!!??? No science needed. It is experience. Mine. As well as a number of others i grow with.

You trying to split hairs. You read a couple article and you think your an expert. Or maybe you even have a degree... who the fuck cares...

I think this is where you discounted the science....

Have you clicked on the link yet? I feel like a broken record man.

Also I don't think science said the earth was flat, people said that, then scientists proved the world was round..

Complete noob? Hardly. 5 years experience is not a complete noob.

Incidentally, the flower in that pic was AK47 that foxtailed. It was 21 grams dry. Might not be the prettiest one youve ever seen, but i dont know why looks would matter or how you can control looks as a grower. Maybe you might know more about controlling looks than i do being the super all knowing grower that you are.

Anyway...your attack is typical.. if the jackals on this site. When you cant intimidate sombody to share your opinion then attack his credibility. But you do so in a manner that is not only obvious but also infantile...and the result is thatvyou undermine your own credibility chuckey eztevez....
Later today (this eve) I will be opening a new thread on bud porn.....I invite you to share your favorite grow pics....I will not belittle your efforts.....That's not that bad Q...If your proud of it - post it!

That is not discounting it or its validity. It is just not something that applies in this situation. It is irrelevant to what i have been saying all along, many many times. What i have been saying... you anti-flushing guys WANT somebody to beat up on and so have interpreted all i have said to be pro flushing, which is simply not true. I dont know enough about it to have an opinion and frankly i dont care. What i have been saying is that "A" flush, one, before harvest improves the taste and burn of the weed. Thousands of growers agree. I dont care what the science says about that and ibdont think it addresses that at all. From what i know... it is about habitual and prolonged flushing... and that isnt relevant to what ive been sayi g...

As for the science of a flat earth... all the "experts" and scientists of the day believed that and taught it. And nearly killed a guy for contradi ting him.... it is all in the history books...look it up...

Wow, this is quite a contentious issue.
Maybe it should be moved to politics, which is the home of rancorous discourse here on RIU..hahahah...
I used to conscientiously flush all of my crops...Now I do not bother.
Guess what? I notice no difference whatsoever, and neither does anyone else who smokes my finished product.

get back to us when you have successfully made 1 clone, otherwise, your opinion means squat.

A properly fed plant will not have a retarded ppm/ec level before harvest. This for no reason should ever require a flush.

THIS IS WHAT WE ARE SAYING! IF YOU FUCKED UP, THEN YOU HAVE TO FLUSH WELL, BECAUSE YOU FUCKED UP!

If you have to flush every harvest because your plants keep tasting green and nasty after drying then stop with the excessive feedings! If you're so keen on flushing then switch to organic, dont try to flush organic btw lol

This subject would not exist if everyone would read the right information.

Those who think the flower is pulling from the roots directly influencing the flavor need to read up! There is a big ol process happening inside the plant that converts what the roots pull in, into food for the plant. You cannot change the flavor by changing what is in the water unless you really screwed up. The only thing happening by flushing is starving the plant causing it to live off of the stored food in the leafs hence the fade.

These plants are on a set life cycle and know what they are doing. In the perfect world our plants would get just enough clear water. They would live a vegging life until autumn then they would flower in order to reproduce. Without any change in water they would naturally fade, the flowers would ripen and die thus dropping the seeds and starting over again in the spring time.

Once you understand how a plant works you will quickly discount flushing and defoliation ( Oh please don't start up that topic )

As for popping when smoked... That is moisture. Have you ever tried burning moist fire wood?
As for harsh smoke... That is drying to fast/improper cure.

So YOU say. But who the fuck are you? Nevermind. I dont give a shit. Neither does anybody else.

Rather than listen to your bullshit or mine... all i suggested was the the OP experiment and make up his own mind, regardless of what everybody else says. Me included.

But if he does that the difference will be clear.

Why would you object to that? Because you know he will discover flushed weed smokes far better....
You're actually dead wrong about all that, and who's Dr Who..? He happens to be one of the few true pros around here whose advice is sought out all over these forums.
