Is it safe to take some weed on an Amtrak train in 2012?

Bad idea, more and more people getting busted by scanners, not sure if they have these but trust me when I say you dont want to get caught out of town with weed. Getting caught at home is bad enough but trying to transport a small amount with no benifit other than a few joints is way too much of a risk.

It's hard to say what the safest way to traffic large amounts is.. If you're not at all suspicious looking (like a soccer mom with a clean record) and can stay really cool under pressure then I'd assume a car.. If you aren't an unlikely trafficker then I'd suspect bus or train.. But I'd rather keep it small enough to go carry-on.. Your luggage is more likely to be sniffed when you aren't holding it..

Dogs in Union Station in Chicago last week. Don't know if they sniff weed or only bombs.
