Is it obvious what you grow??

So you are paranoid. Because you are paranoid you talk about what you do... because you know your paranoia will keep you safe....
I go in assuming that they know that I know that they know...and I never look behind me when I leave...I mean except when I am backing up...but once I am on the road I am not afraid...I just find it unlikely that I would be a target for anyone...and so far that methodology has worked for me...I am unassuming and have no reason to be attacked, followed, robbed, or apprehended...so no worries...
Acting suspicious is what makes you a suspect...if you act like nothing is going on, so will everyone else in most scenarios. You only draw more attention to things when you try to hide them...like porno mags with the bleeped out nipples..lol.

i tend to avoid the hydro store whenever possible
overpriced products that you can find online/ elsewhere much cheaper .. with a better selection too
also the security implications of these places ... you cant really trust these hydro store people .. sure some seem friendly
and on rare occasions offer good advise .. i still think it is best to avoid these places they are dodgy bastards most of them

until quite recently many hydro shops would of been selling clones on the sly for £4-6 each
so yes, they know what the equipment is for LOL

peace :)
I don't ask the hydro stores for advice...I need growing advice, not advice on how to sell growing products...you ask a farmer about growing, you ask a seller about selling.

I don't mention cannabis at all at my hydro store. They owner looks like he might be straight, hard to tell. Every time I've been there (like 3 or 4 times) there have been other obvious potheads buying shit for a grow op... but last time I went he had what I assumed was his wife working the counter (looked straight as fuck), and he had some older women asking about legit shit like basil and whatever. He has a PC at the counter and one time I noticed he had RIU pulled up... so he def knows what's up. I don't talk shit or trust anyone though, and the one time I had to buy some shit with my debit card I also bought a pack of strawberry seeds and some tomato seeds.

I'm covered by my rec, so I could care less about things showing up on my cards; and after I mentioned having a rec and wanting to grow my own personal meds, the people at the hydro shop were more than happy to start talking about how to grow weed and which products would be best for my situation... I love living in a MMJ state.

Lol the owner of the store I go to has been upgrading there store every few months for a year now. They are definitely growers and know what's up. And after going there for over a year I have no problem speaking openly. Plus it's 40 miles from my house lol they aren't going to follow me home. They said they knew from the beginning. Not many kids with long hair and beards spend a couple grand a month on gardening tomatoes

I was definitely not paranoid about being followed or anything since i was just visiting the city. If anyone wanted to follow me home they would have to follow me 600km haha.. now that i think back... maybe i should have thrown some random turns in there just in case!! :o

i definitely watch behind me, even after backing up, lol missnu, on the ride home.. can never be to safe, and tend to take the long way home...

there was another hydro store in the state next to me that isn't very far from my place that i've heard about people being followed home from after shopping there, so it does happen for sure..

i don't talk about mj or anything though, even though i can tell the owner is a huge stoner, and a grower himself.. he's pretty cool, very informative and has me sold by selling me cheaper products saying that they work just as well as one $80 or so more..

i also like to support the local places when i can.. why support some name less, faceless internet giant whom doesn't gaf about me and only wants my money, even if it saves me a couple of bucks..

I totally agree with you, plus its nice to personally see all of the equipment and see the demos they have set up. Unfortunately i dont have any hydro shops nearby so unless i want to drive a couple hours to pay more than what i would online I stick to buying online. But i do buy from a real hydro shop that is near my home town, not just a giant online dealer

yah, don't get me wrong, i still order stuff online as my local place doesn't carry every last thing i would need for a grow, so sometimes i have no option but to go online..

Ya'll must have some awfull hydro shops around you! Yeah no shit all the hydro store employes assume your growing weed. I'm natraly paranoid after being jumped afew times and every time I drive home I assume sombodys following me so I do a series of things to make sure it's impossible for sombody to follow me. So pretty much I can run my mouth at the hydro shop till the cows come home, nobody's gunna be able to follow me without me noticing and if I notice your gunna have some much worse problems to deal with.
LOL when the police follow folk, they use 2-3 cars, each car will follow you for a short amount of time, as not to arouse your suspicions
using their police radios to synchronize which cars follow and for how long

just to clear up your assumptions

I don't ask the hydro store for advice either, i stated some of the workers there may give good advice, i did not state weather that advice was about growing plants or buying products
although some workers in the hydro store would of previously been growers
not sure what your point is to be honest .. other than mild sarcasm lol
the last time i got good advice from the hydro store about 10 years ago, the lady said DO not buy these propagators here
they are on special offer at argos 2 for 1 .. what an honest lady
peace :)

you can usually tell the difference between someone who has experience and is actually trying to help and someone who is just trying to push product on you

Im pretty certain they all know,I mean like it was mentioned before..it is just not cost effective to grow veggies or herbs under artificial lighting unless you live in some frozen isolated place like Greenland or Siberia (and I doubt hydro places are common there anyways) :). Im in the SF Bay Area..so the employees are pretty lax after you've been going there for a while. One day after I had been going to my favorite hydro store for about a year,I was the only customer there and was talking to one of the guys about some new additive or something..and he was like "yeah, the indica strains like purple kush really love this" and I just kinda laughed and said "oh, were cool like that now huh?" and he smiled. After 6 years it is totally relaxed ,I bring them in samples of new stuff that Ive done and we talk freely..but I know to never bring anything like that up within earshot of anyone else that might be around shopping.
