Is Gay Marriage Really That Big Deal?

I'm personally not just not anti-gay, I'm PRO-gay, especially gay guys. Why? Well, every time I see two gay guys, I think, "Well, there's two dudes right there that aren't going to be competing with me for the women." It's supply and demand -- the fewer straight dudes there are, the higher my value is to straight women. ;)
Right ON! :lol: :hump::mrgreen::blsmoke::peace:

Now I'm racist, sexist, and a tyrant, Kracker? Debate guru, you are not. Shit slinger?......now that's a label that fits you fine.

All social standards are dictated, by society.

As society changes, social standards change.

You probably think the 21st amendment is "horseshit". But the 18th is cool. Right?

Your too funny ccodiane .. you are the one that keeps injecting the labels upon urself, not I. Guilty conscience maybe?

Exactly my point, I'm glad you finally agree and have come to your senses. Standards do change and this one is upon us. Accept it or be swept aside by it. It's happening anyways, with or without you, just roll with it.

Then you won't have to look so silly. Yes, you can now say truthfully I called you silly.

Silly is as silly says, Kracker.

You're silly. Although agreeing with me can only help you become more, intellectual?. So here's to more of it, for your sake.

Natural market forces, the "invisible hand", yada yada......it really works, if just left alone.

It was you who agreed with me ccodiane. I think I found your problem. it's reading comprehension.

So the society is shifting and ccodiane is putting the finger in the dike. Just don't marry her ccodiane, u'll be fine.

There are more here than just they who have, really and truly serious reading comprehension issues. But if I mention names I'd probably get spanked.

Those are just the big 2 that refuse to see any point of view other than their own. They remind me of Rainman, make a small change and they scream and beat theirselves in the head.

I meet them all the time unfortunately. Armed with just enough education to walk and talk, but not enough to think an issue through. I just smile and excuse myself at the earliest juncture without offending anyone. Life's too short.

I have two sticks of gum and a flashlight, I am prepared.

Actually instead of making you intelligent, imo, that makes you a bloody coward. Life is too short to spend worrying about offending any one. If they have a problem with your opinion, then that's their damn problem and not yours.

:-)

No, not a coward, just polite. After all, every one is entitled to their opinion. I am open minded enough to accept that they are allowed to have an opposite opinion than mine.

If I meet someone who can also be open minded, then i will discuss. Close minded people (to which i was referring) are not capable of having that sort of conversation. I have learned this through experience and do not bother trying to convince them of anything. Again, life is to short and it's not my life mission to change peoples way of thinking.

Coward is a very strong term for not talking to someone. The threshold on such an accusation needs to be measurably high. I believe "apathetic" would be a more appropriate retort on your part. None the less, I have responded.

Am I brave now?

Okay, fine, Apathetic, Coward, whatever you want to use to describe it.

As far as you being brave now, IDK, are you?

I am. 8) Sometimes my balls are swingin' so low they knock my ankles (not that it's such a long way). However, like CJ, I, too, have learned the utility of keeping my big mouf shut in the face of futility and in the name of "gettin' along".

Well said Seamaiden.

Oh how I heard the sirens call and I felt a deepness within me not since my youth.

Each word has a specific meaning, not coward, apathetic, whatever.
Whatever, now there is a word that implies giving up. Whatever.

Good stuff. Read through your previous posts, Kracker Maid, and see yourselves clearly.

The discussion is on gay marriage, yet, given the opportunity to engage in discourse regarding the topic at hand, amongst yourselves, without your "opposition" present :blsmoke:, you folks decide to opine on how other people are, and how you are. How you're different from them. "Yeah, I totally agree. They're like "bla bla bla", and we're like, what-ev-er. Then I'm like, "I'm OUT"!" "Yeah, me too!"

Excellent opportunity to learn, if you care about that kind of thing.

I guess I haven't learned that lesson. I'm not really expecting to change any one's mind, I'm just one that enjoys debates and arguments.
