these are a batch of iranian crosses that are going into their third weekand i will start feeding them at the start of the forth week i start a new batch every month till july for a perpectual harvest thru out the season View attachment 2134393
First off those look bomb brotha!!!!!
And secondly if you dont feed till week 4, what are you giving them to grow, and stay so green man? i know you use a kelp blend of some kind..... but those look absolutely bomb for no nutes yet!!!!!!!!!!
Have you noticed that the iranian crosses are light feeders just like the iranian herself? i was thinking of growing out some males and doing a little breeding i still have plenty of time to get a male going...

So hey everyone def got some nute burn/temp issue's/ph issues i do believe and havent posted in a little while due to this, been in doctor mode saving(trying) my outdoor crop. i think what happened was i feed with compost teas to soon this was my first try at it and i think i had a ppm burn mainly! and i also think my ph was slightly high but not bad run-off was 6.9 when i flushed them... and def had tempature issuse its been WILd to say the least weather wise around here got below 20 the other night with 30 mph gust's
wouldnt be a problem if i didnt have these in my unheated/uninsulated shed, so i had to rig up an electric heater and tarp off the shed to kill any cold breeze blowing in and was able to stablize night temps at 65+ instead of 45-60 like it was for 3 nights.... nothing i could really do conditions were limiting for me.

So for the last 7 days ive been dealing with all of the above coming down on the ladies and the result was the first true leaves burning off on most plants, as well as pretty aggresive stunting. They are on day 21 and are only about the size of other plants this same strain at 14 days.... so i def pushed them back a week but thats better then them dying off!

I ended up transplanting from the solo cups to square 3 gallon pots, and used pro-mix BX for the soil(instead of a 50-50 ratio of 707 and pro-mix(thought the 707 would be to hot nute wise)), i amended with dolomitic lime and super tea(the.5-.5-1) when i transplanted i moderately misted the roots with thrive alive green and then covered them generously with mychroziae(stump tea actually) then i gave a light watering of thrive alive green. This was on day day 14

On day 15 i watered with 2 gallons of spring water phd at 6.5ish
On day 17 i gave them 1 gallon total of thrive alive
On day 18 i had decided they were looking better so i gave them a 1/6 EJ grow 1/4 EJ bloom 1/4 EJ catalyst
On day 19 they looked great perked up, started to uncup(which they were doing real bad because i only lightly watered the new soil before transplanting) and they all developed new growth and the new growth was a vivid green and soft to the touch.
On day 20 wanted to give more nutrients but i held off and decided they needed 2 gallons of water so i gave them a half dose of thrive alive
On day 21 they looked great best they have so far and had definet growth overnight, the new growth is quite purple at first thought was a defic, but then though no way i just flushed these and they've gotten plenty of NPK since the flush, i bought some Organic-B(6 types of b vitamins to help boost plants metabolism and uptake of nutes, as well as peptids and hormones to promote growth) i foliar sprayed a half solution of this and EJ microblast tonight(it looks like possible Zn defic's and Mg) and the organic-b should get her growing nice and quick!

New pics1.jpg Heres a couple sitting on my work bench soaking up a t-5 after a foliar application
new pics2.jpg Heres on thats showing good growth right after her foliar today.
new pics 3.jpg And if you look close at the new growth on this one you can see its real purple kinda weird never seen it and havent had temp changes in the last 4 days almost at all been 70f-76f

they seem to be recovering. have you poked holes in your soil? do it with a pencil and poke a hole into the topsoil, thatll help aerate the roots as well. should help out a bit, they do look a little bit stressed but i see progress, they should be good to go in a few days. hold back on nutes until they ask, you soil should have most of what they need. if not only use organic or highly diluted synthetics. wait till the leaves tell you to feed though.

Hey man thanks for stopping by bro!

Yeah i poked holes with a very small phillips head screw driver same thing as a pencil did 6 holes at about a 45*

They def looked stressed, and im only using organic nutes(should check the first page of my thread i posted it all, only using earth juice line, its super light to begin with(2-1-1 grow)(0-3-1 bloom) says right on the bottle that it wont burn in caps and also says it has no salt residue/buildup right next to that.......so its a weak organic nute line

And i am noticing signs of nute deficency definetly, the leaf sets are still real yellowish and the new growth is light green(alot of the new growth is purple like pretty vivid purple ive read thats another sign of N defic) i mean real vivid purple on about 16 of the 21 ladies(about half of the new growth's leaves, basically whats grown in the last 3 days half of those leave(the bottom half) are vivd/dark purple any ideas what this is N Defic maybe just the strain but ive never seen it before

i think im going to feed with my grow at a 1/4 strength(grow 2-1-1) and pro-tekt(silicon and postassium) at half strength tonight @ 2 gallons of water tonight ill try and post some pics if i do!

id do a 1/4 strength, they're still pretty small.

id do a 1/4 strength, they're still pretty small.
I went with 6.25ml of grow per gallon(lil less then 1/4 strength)
5ml of catalyst(half strength growth promoter, like (.3-.01-.1)
and 5ml of pro-tekt(half strength 0-0-3)

so my nute solution was only (.5-.25-1) and all organic.......and they are def a lil N deficient
newest 4.jpg Heres a pic of all the ladies
newest 2.jpg this one is having weird growth on one side, the left side newest leaf set is incredibaly small compared to the opposite side, and its purple, deep purple the picture isnt cery good its from a cell
Newest 1.jpg heres another pic new growth extremely purple, baffling! def can see yellowish leaves and small new growth in both pics signs of N deficientcy

Also should note both my original soil(solo cups) and this soil are 100% nutrient-less! they are both peat moss mixes with zero N-P-K
So these ladies have barely gotten any NPK in the last 7 days except the 1/6 stregth dose i gave of VERY MILD nutes, and the NPK i gave today, i think the purple is another sign of N deficientcy.........

i think pH can cause this too, check your runoff as well.

Hey whats up Future, i have a question 4 u. Here goes, My IAF's has only been above soil since April 14, they are in the ground in 3ft holes filled with Miracle Gro Organic Choice Soil (.10 .5 .10), i started using 1/5 strength (if that much) of Fertilome Root Stimulator (4 10 3) @ day 3 or 4. Now,,,,my question is,,... Since IAF's are very sensitive to Nitrogen,,do u think it would be okay 4 me to just start using my Alaska Moorbloom (0 10 10) along with maybe, a 1/5 or 1/6 of the root stimulator from here on out ? P.S. I ordered more seeds yesterday from Sannie Mad Scientist (White Widow x Herijuana) Killing Fields ( KF #7 x KF #51) Sugar Punch (Super Silve Haze x The One) just something different because most of these d*ckheads here inbama think all weed is either Purp or Kush, LoL, but it is the truth

less nutes the better, introduce some veg nutes in the first 3 weeks so they build some foliage(your soils should also have good amounts of N). as soon as shes a bit older you can keep bumping up the nutes, root stimulator shouldnt be necessary. good call on sannies, the mad scientist and killing fields will be interesting, cant go wrong with sugar punch either.

Hey guys heres an update with pics my bad its been a few days......

Its now day 28 officially at the 1 month mark, if i hadnt had a stunt in the begining, i still wouldnt been done vegging, i think this particular strain is just a slow vegger but oh well.
So my last update was 5 days ago and on that day i soil drenched with EJ grow, Catlyst annd some Pro-tekt.
I havent given any nutes at all since then just plain old ph'd water and they seem to have responded well to the last feeding/waterings this week.
I cant remeber what nights i watered fully i think it was something like this
Day 23 was the last nute day(ej grow, catalyst, pro-tekt) 2 gallons
Day 24 they got nothing
Day 25 they got 1.5 gallons of ph'd water over the 22
Day 26 they got nothing
Day 27(last night) they got another 1.5 gallons of ph'd water over the 22

Here are some pics to track the progression of the plants!!!!!
new1.jpg Heres the whole tent for overall progression tracking.
new2.jpg Heres a top view of one of the ladies.
new3.jpg i tried getting i side shot to show how stout these are staying, only seeing 1/4 to an 1/8 of an inch of gapping between nodes and my light is 22 inches away from the tallest plant, she DOES not want to stretch at ALL!
new4.jpg And heres just and angle shot.

I should note that im seeing a full 6 nodes/leaf sets on all plants now, and they are developing there 7th right now, they are about 3-6 inches in height and about 5-7 inches in width

I want to give them nutes but as you can see they are looking pretty good and im trying my hardest to live by the less is more theory with growing.....

I think im going to do a foliar of Thrive alive(kelp extract), Organic-B(b vitamins, peptids and amino acids to aid in nute uptake and speed metabolism), and pro-tekt(sillicon for stress reduction and strong stems to support massive bud growth)
I think im going to give them a foliar of these 3 all at 1/2 strength recomended dose, along with some EJ Asisist(wetting agent)

Any questions or comments blurt that shit out!

i agree wait till week 2.5-3 before nutes with this strain, i disagre with thte thought that you soil has enough N past 3-4 weeks but thats me, if i were you man i would go pick up a bottle of earth juice grow at a local hydro shop there has to be one close, or order online man, plants need N and the N they are getting from your root stimulator will sufice but its not the proper type of N for VIGOURIUS lush growth, and earth juice grow is only 15-20 a quart which would be enough for all the seeds you just ordered pluss your IAF's

If i were you id get som eearth juice grow, its 20 a bottle and youll need proper N for all those other strains you ordered anyways, so mights well kill 2 birds with one stone and get a real grow nute
i would get the ej grow and use that 2 times a week at 1/4 stregth, as well as 1/6 of your morbloom, then a once a week with your root stimulator unless you see any problems but thats just me bro
so id go
1/4 ej grow with 1/6 moorbloom twice a weekish
and a once a week with just water and 1/2 strength root stimulator and that should get your IAFS through veg like a boss if they are just like mine

i think pH can cause this too, check your runoff as well.
Dont think it was ph crazy, i checked my runoff im at 6.7, and ive been phing all my water to 6.3-6.7ish and letting the dolomitic lime do the rest.....
as you can see though bro they came out of whatever was wrong and now its just a growing game, dialing in nutes perfectly for this strain is going to be difficult no doubt though!!!!!

my profile pic is the main cola of my best iaf outdoor plant last summer. took 3 months to veg 21'' tall under 20/4 light
i got 23 oz from 5 plaNTS. STARED seeds on 4/20/2011 put outside 6/16/2011 and cut down 9/14/2011
the smoke is awesome ''pinner'' weed meaning u only have to roll pinners to get 4-5 ppl stoned but i built tolerance to it by the time i smoked a qp of it
plants were under 40'' harvest height which makes em easy to hide so hope u dont get ripped off this time
btw that main cola weighed 63g wet and 26g dry

Nice pic man ill have to take a stop by your profile in a few, im omw out to the tent right now to foliar...
you say it took 3 months to veg to 21 inches? what were you using for a light?
im only looking for 16-18 inches out of my ladies, and if it ever warms back up imma use the old trick of sun and indoor light round the clock by putting out in the morn and leaving em in at night under my MH
Also you say you only did 20/4, why not 24/0? thats what i was informed to do, that might have attributed to a 3 month veg....
im looking to put them out in another 25-28 days tops so im corssing my fingers i can get 10-12 inches of growth in the next 30 days.......

Any advice you could hook me up with man about this strain dont be shy, ive allready learned the hard way she doesnt like alot of nutes, took a stunt/nut burn in week 3 that killed my plants metabolism and burned the first true leaves pretty bad, but oh well right hahaha you learn

yeah they don't veg well indoors i know some one who vegged with mh lights on 18-6 and he threw out his seedlings cuz they were so slow(he had nice irainian g13's in veg room anyway)
i used a 125watt cfl in a fridge to veg 4 plants and i used 6 23watt cfls in a cup board to veg the plant in the picture.
all 5 yeilded over a qp, prob 5 oz average and i had 2 purple phenotype plants and 3 green phenotype plants (green were higher yeilders, smoke tastes the same)
i used 20-4 cuz that is what someone on rui told me was good for autoflowerers
i recommend u make bubble hash with your shake and put the unpressed product in a few joints(super spicy irainian taste, all you taste is purple) trust me on this...
i am a pretty shitty grower and i had better dope than i ever bought from this strain but as for grow tips, next time i would buy 20-30 seeds and germinate them june first into peat pots and put outide by the 15th. supposed to get 3oz from seed anyway not worth 3 months veg time in my opinion, but good luck, you will enjoy the spicy smoke!

Very interesting to here that they can get 3 oz's from seed if put outdoors after they root.....
Im vegging under 1 air cooled 600 watt MH light and they still seem to be slow growers vertically, they are bushy as fuck and there secondary branching is crazy!!!!!!!
I am dividing my grow into 3 plots an my plan is to make bubble hash with 1 plots trim, BHO with another plots trim, and i think im going to try dry ice hash with my 3rd plot(if not ill use one of the other 2 methods, whichever type of hash i like best after trying both id make more of....)
And i was unaware there was a purple pheno with this strain that will be awesome to see some purple in my bag's next year!!!!!!
Also side note im growing mine in peat, maybe after what you said ill only shoot for 12ish inches on all of em and shoot for 4-6 oz per plant instead of going to 18 inches and hoping for 4-8, would be able to get them out sooner so they finish sooner, less chance of someone stumbling upon them, which is the main reason im growing this strain, pluss its supposed to be the most potent "auto"....

Hey guys so its day 29 and its been 6 days since nutes, since then theyve gotten water twice and a foliar application of some add-ons(no real nute value to them)

I think im going to go ahead and feed the ladies again tonight, im thinking
3.75ml of grow 1/4 strength
5ml catalyst full strength
5ml of bloom full
2.5ml of meta-k(potassium) 1/2
2.5ml of microblast(micro) 1/2
Per gallon and im going to water with 2 gallons of this solution tonight, phd to 6.2(amended with dolomitic lime)

Ill post some pics after if i have the time, gotta work early tomorrow, sucks!!!!

if you got good compost N can remain for up to 2 months, depends how big your pots are of course. i use 5 gallons, sometimes 3 gallons. i do add granular veg nutrients though, as well as my rich compost. ive put so much fruit and dead leaves in this shit and earth worms just break it down so well, you gotta try this shit. i dont usually need nutes for veg, compost is nutes but i mean additives. imo, all you need to know is what the leaves tell you. once you find out what she needs, feed her.

Hey crazy im sitting here taking my morning shit and noticed you posted on my thread no pics to update with right now, but they took off with the last feeding of nutes, im seeing alot of growth and am happy about it!!!!!!!!

My roots are starting to come out of the pot at the bottom and im in 3 gallon square pots, and the roots are nice and thick which is suprising for how small the plants still are, i cant believe how COMPACT and tight this strain is, im 7 nodes deep and only like 6 inches of growth if that.

I think they are out of the seedling stage and ready to start taking nutes on a schedule, i had to water them 2 more gallons last night because they seemed to suck all of the 2 gallons of nute's i gave them the night before. I have a few fans leaves that are 2 inches wide and the plants under 7 inches tall hahaha

Ill try and get some pics up tonight i know someone else was looking for some visual stimulation!!!!!
Gotta say this strain is the slowest vegger ive ever seen, granted i did stunt it but this thing veg's pretty epicly slow, hopping we can change that soon here and she just blows up on me(fingers crossed)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
