i heard someone talking outside the courthouse on Monday saying that we have other poisonous plants in our houses & gardens and the Government does care...why is this PLANT any different?
i thought that was a good point

I agree, but that's still 0.56% of the population.
Compare that to the 2013 survey results, 19.3% of Canadians are smokers - that stuff will always be in the news because it's almost 1 in 5 people that it impacts.

I want to believe this will get the coverage, but outside of my friends on the MMPR side, the rest of them have no idea marijuana is even legal for medical use in this country.
I think there are so many more people using for medicinal purposes than are known...I guess it's up to patients and caregivers to make sure the general population is informed...

HC had lots of good points given when they had the early early mmpr think tank meeting in Ottawa

find out what people want …then don't do it..

HC DOES NOT CARE about us..except to eliminate growing other than LP's

I don't see any wrenches being tossed. There isn't any NEW/OLD made up info(as in federal info to use against us) but far more evidence to SUPPORT the cause in this fight and it will all come out for a change with out being blocked or wash out.

good luck to the people who are fighting

Conroy going over the numbers of people through the years in the program with DGs and the numbers of patients with over 150g-limits
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot agrees with Conroy's data about legal gov't growing company Prairie Plant Systems, the amounts purchased from them & debts owed
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot said it was her understanding regulations dealt with "dried" #marijuana. Conroy said schedule is "cannabis and it's derivatives"
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot said Health Canada does not collect data on how many HC medical #marijuana patients have been robbed or broken into
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot agreed that a person who uses Oxycontin would have no problem going on a 30-day holiday with enough legal medicine for the trip
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot said this wouldn't be possible with someone who needed more than 150 grams over 30 days & marijuana can't be sent overseas by LPs
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot didn't realize 150g-limit MMPR caps had been imposed on MMAR patients after injunction - agrees that they could be a problem
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Conroy and Ritchot discussing details of complaints about #marijuana growing operations in residences – and some not in residential areas
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Crown witness and Conroy Flipping through paperwork looking for info
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot: MMPR is there to protect individual and public health & safety – including protecting patients from harms they may cause themselves
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot said MMAR program was changed to allow for the production and sale of different types of strains – only one avail under PPS

Ritchot: No authority in the regulation to allow Health Canada to "take care of" odour issues at marijuana home-growing operations
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot agrees Health Canada could have set up an "expert advisory committee" to help patients grow with no offending odour, but they didn't
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot: Health Canada doesn't have any criminal records for patients – but it's still possible they could be criminals and HC doesn't know
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot: If a patient had a fire, I didn't hear about it
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot agrees that Health Canada does not keep records of fires but home invasion reporting was an obligation in the MMAR
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot: no tabulation of the data was ever done to draw conclusions during the redesign of the medical #marijuana program
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot agrees that HC is unaware of any robbery of industrial hemp and selling it – said several questions are out of her expertise

Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot: some physicians expressed "concerned about affordability of medication under the new system" according to Health Canada documents
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot: Marijuana extracts were banned under MMAR but MMPR LPs that want to extract can do so under the provisions of the Food and Drug Act
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot: Praire Plant Systems supplied #marijuana for $5 a gram with no shipping cost to patients. Gov't subsidized about $6 on each gram
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Health Canada knew there were a number of patient accounts in arrears while pot was $5/g – and HC was trying to collect debts from them
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Conroy: Health Canada did nothing legislatively to ensure that all medical marijuana patients would be covered under the regime?

Conroy: Health Canada did nothing legislatively to ensure that all medical marijuana patients would be covered under the regime?-love that one and "Health Canada knew there were a number of patient accounts in arrears while pot was $5/g – and HC was trying to collect debts from them"
so at $5/g patients couldn't afford their crap so let's increase the cost & make them pay up front so there's no collection issues later on......

Ritchot knew at the time that no insurance programs would cover medical #marijuana - making it different than other drugs
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot: Health Canada considered the fact that patients might not be able to afford medical marijuana prices but did nothing to combat it
Cannabis Culture @CannabisCulture
Ritchot said Health Canada doesn't have any information or statistics compiled about complains related to smell - just individual complaints
