In America today, who has it worse?

An atheist is not hardcore and an agnostic is someone who hasn't thought it through enough. The population of homosexuals in this country is much, much more than "less than 1%"
So you have established that everyone thinking it through must come to the conclusion 100% that there is no god and never have any question about it??

Athiest is black and white. You 100% believe that there is no god and never question your belief. I find that to be a pretty ignorant position IMO. I give most people credit for being able to constantly evaluate the things going on around them and integrate that into their conclusions.

If you question whether there is a god .0000001% of the time you are an agnostic. By definition I think there are far more agnostics than atheists.

The fact still remains that it is completely different from the other two.

I never question that there is no god. God is not self evident and it takes a lot of story telling to fit god into the human world.

Belief is not statistical but emotion based so percentages of belief don't really work. Most agnostics are trying to work through the disparities in what they were taught as children and what they have experienced as adults. Childish beliefs can be particularly difficult to let go of.

I believe every president we've ever had was a Christian.
but not in practice, the life of a politician is hardly honest, and they do what it takes to accomplish their goal. I think it is what you practice amd how you live through a code that makes people true CHRISTIANS. There are actually quite a few less by my definition. I am not one but just would like to see a less disingenous and cruel world.

I try to be tolerant of religious people, but its hard not to look down on them given they genuinely believe some in some invisible buddy who watches everything they do and punishes them if they don't follow his rules.

And when they try influence law making, holy shit is that offensive.

All laws are based on religious codes of morality.

All laws are based on property rights, not morality.

Some laws are based in restituting a real victim of a real crime, wherein the victim suffered a loss.

Many more laws are based in arbitrary acts of control over others by a parasitic and / or ruling class or their minions.
