There's no way you can get 12% off of that, but perhaps you have other data.A grand total of 12% of the workforce was comprised of women or children in 1913. Not exactly a big number.

If you calculate it like that, definitely. Why are you multiplying the percentage of two worker households by the number of people in each period?70% of 320 Million is a shit ton more than 12% of 98 Million.
