I could use your advice!!

This is my first attempt to grow and my plants are just reaching maturity now. So I have some extensive questions if you could please bare with me......

1. I have read and heard that when the little white hairs turn amber that's when it is ready to be dried...BUT only the top of my plant has orange hairs the rest are still tottally white....So does that mean I wait longer for the rest to turn amber or does it not matter because the top is already amber?

2. I have a very large plant (5+feet) that has been showing white hairs since late June and has kept getting more and more and more white hairs and is getting bigger but I don't see any actual "bud" I would not be concerned thinking it just needs more time, but the other plants that are showing bud and have amber hairs and they were placed under the grow light long after the big one.......??? Any ideas??

3.Do you have any estimate as to how much bud is produced on what size plant??
EX: 1 foot tall: $30.00-5 feet tall: $300.00<--------> get what I mean?

Sorry to leave all of you hanging, I've found myself with less and less time to get on the internet. I'm assuming that since the most recent posts are about 2 months old that any answer I offer now is going to be too late...again I'm sorry to leave you hanging, I hope you found the answers you needed.

That being said, I would like to announce my return to this (among other) threads. I will still be unable to visit as frequently as I once did, but surely I will be here at least once or twice a week.

So if you don't mind the fact that you may have to wait a few days for an answer please feel free to start posting any question, concern, or opinion you have (well maybe not every opinion LOL) All the away time has made me eager to have some intelligent (and maybe some not-so intelligent) discussion on our favourite topic.

So again, I'm back and here to try to help :leaf:

Been off on a summer grow, and just harvest?

:bigjoint:
I wish...I had no time for growing this summer. I gave whatever plants I had left away, and have just working like crazy ever since. Few things come between me and my growroom, but as of right now I have no growroom :-( I've been working like a crazy to get a new place to grow

That change shouldn't have any negative effects on the plants themselves, it may bump up your temps a bit though so watch for that. Otherwise a 24 hour light schedule will do nothing but let them grow faster...and cost you a few extra dollars that is

can I throw all my seeded bud into my work bag or would it fuck up the final product somehow? Ive been trying to find an answer to this question for days now. I thought it would be an easily answered question because you would think that you should be able to hash your seeded bud, know what i mean?

I agree, LST training, topping, or supercropping will get you the wider bushy plants you want.

Questions, Comments, Opinions?
Question- Why do you bump the thread up then disappear for a couple weeks.

Comment- If you're "here to help" why aren't you actually here?

Opinion- I think you should stop bumping the thread if you aren't going to stick around to answer the question.

There are a lot of insightful growers on RIU, they are probably better off asking them... At least they'll get an answer.

I thought I had already explained that...

I simply don't always have time to check in every day, or sometimes even every week. However I do try to answer every question I can, and I do try to visit at least once a week. Let's get this clear...this isn't my job, I have other things I need to do. You may be right MrHowardMarks perhaps some questions would be answered more quickly elsewhere, but the fact remains that I have answered pretty well every question thus far. So by all means if this thread isn't up to your standards ask your questions elsewhere...this thread isn't for my benefit.

I don't really know what you mean...you have seedy bud and want to make hash is what I gather.

will tieing down the branches of a plant prduce more bud sites?
It will produce better bud sites, in that you can distribute your lighting alot more evenly. So you will almost certainly increase yield by doing so, you may not have more bud sites but the ones you do have will be better lit up and therefore can grow alot bigger.

I have some new plants going and one of them is growing a bit weird. I'm posting here a couple of pics. You can see more if you follow my signature.
Do you know why is this happening??? is there anything i could do about it?

Hey markj I just checked out your journal, looks like things are working out for the most part. Judging by the pics I'd say that maybe the problem is with the lack of nutes. I noticed that the plant in question is a bit bigger than the others, it also has some brownish spots on some of the fan leaves. It may be time to start the nutes on that plant in particular, with the dosage you mentioned in your journal. I think that will probably help that weird growth straighten back out, the spots may not go away but hopefully no more will pop up either...best of luck with your grow!
