Hello guys,
want to make a decision what to order cxa3070, cxb3590 or vero29 for a large area. Want to build 2 layers of 1.25m (49") height each, for flower only to make maximum use of the square meters.
I've read that a couple of people drive there cobs at 1.4a (50w) with 13-15cm space to the canopy. I also want to do that or maybe drive them even higher if that is possible..??
And i think i am mandatory to get passive cooling because i have less height, what do you guys think.
I hope that someone can help me with my choice.

Thanks, I've ordered it so I'll be super careful not to put it under anything, maybe peering into my closet from outside, where any flames would have to stretch to the ceiling.
As a non-electrician, what should I look for when opening it up?

I plan on doing a single dwc scrog. Using one light for veg and then both for flower. Each CXB3590 will have its own driver and heat-sink fan combo.

The driver is 25-40v. @ 1500ma
the CXB3590 I ordered is the 36v.
please correct my math and add to it if possible...
1.5 amps x 36v = 54 watts.....correct?

So i did this little drawing and wanted to see if someone could school me on if it would work or if theres things that could be better about the project. I want to be able to cover a 5x5 area with super awesome penetration deep into the canopy. Was just wondering if this would do or whats best. Thanks.

My suggestion would be to make 4 separate lamps. They'd be a lot easier to hang than one huge, heavy lamp and you'd get a lot more options than the rectangle.

So do you think that lamp covers a 5x5 area? And do you think 40"x 36.5" is bad, like maybe it should be a square? Thank you.

Trying to see the difference between white light & high Red + Blue light & how the plants respond to them. Both have COBs surrounded by 5 watters. Stop by!

Hello, I'm in the market for a light to use for mother plants, clones/seedlings, possibly some minor vegetative growth and starting other types of vegetables like chili peppers. Looking for some suggestions on whats out there right now that would be a good fit.

Hey all. I got pointed over in this direction.
I'm working on a medicinal startup grow in MA and I'm trying to figure out how to buildout my grow space.
First off,
I was advised that under LED, with appropriate care, attention, nutes, n light I could easily get 1:1 g/w and have heard upwards of 3:1. Now I'm skeptical of everything... I was initially pointed to using an 1800w BloomBoss for each 5'x5' and that I could project an estimate of 1800g/harvest. Going off of that I imagined using 300 ft2 to flwr in perpetual would net me around (1800x3) x 4 life cycles annually. About 48 lb at 1:1 and closer to 100lb if i can get up to 2:1.
So before I even think about the best way to light it... is that realistic? And if not, how much light would i need to accomplish that? THEN I can actually go do some research x.x
My advisor and I discussed HPS v. this Bloomboss box as though they were interchangeable.

Mars 192x3 reflector. Yes I'm gathering parts to build a DIY light. But this light has served me well so bash mars all you want, at the time I bought it it was what I could afford and I've grown many fine plants under it. Average gpw has been .8. not great but not bad compared to some commercial lights that cost 3 times as much

Mars is ok, people like to overblow just how much it sucks.
The big Mars 2 panels has some cooling problems in the hotter climates like California but are otherwise ok but DE HPS is better when you want to cover a large area.
Mars is very cheap LEDs, and for the price they do the job.
They get too much hate imo, they're cheap so you should expect cheap.
Less than 1 dollar per watt, you get exactly what you pay for. Functional budget led.
It's the bullshitters like "Platinum growlights" and "blackdog" you have to watch out for.
Their panels are pretty much like the Mars panels but charge an enormous premium. Maybe a bigger heatsink/quieter fans that's pretty much it.
Those guys are the shit companies, they charge a lot for shit.
Mars is fine for what you pay, "platinum" and "blackdog" not.

I use an Apollo 8 style grow light, brandless from China with only the red and blue LEDs in it.
I combine it with a 400w hps and a 250w 6500k CFL
But last year I grew with it alone. It was great for veg, my buds just didn't bulk up in flower.
