I grow in a Secret Jardin DP-90 tent, so I am heavily restricted by size. If you need about 25 watts per square foot using LED lighting, then I need about 150 watts of LEDs right?

I have been looking at the Cree CXB and Bridgelux Vero series. I am pretty convinced that the Crees are a lot better than the Veros. However, the Vero 29s are cheaper, and they should do the trick. They also seem to be more easily available. My question is, are the Vero 29s an alright choice?

I am considering running 5 Vero 29s off of a Meanwell HLG-185H-C1050 driver. The Veros would run at like 36 volts, and would be about 6000 lumens each. I know I'd be driving the Veros very lightly, but I am assuming that should help to keep the heat down. Is this a good idea? I figured that buying an extra LED @ around $30 would be better than trying to buy several LED drivers.

I am trying to now figure out what size heatsink I'd need for either an active or a passive cooling system. I know an active cooling system takes less space than a passive. I am terrible at math, and am having trouble figuring it out.

I am also wondering about what kelvin temp I should use for a full cycle grow. I have heard 4000 k is best, but I really don't know for sure.

Sorry for the long-winded post. I have been lurking on this forum for awhile trying to earn what I could but there's nothing like asking your own questions. Nice to meet you guys.

Look for a cob system (or 2 smaller ones) that puts out 300 to 400watts for your tent. Or get something alittle smaller and add side lighting with cfl's during flowering.
