Im looking to replace 2@600W HPS lights. I run a 4x8 room and would like each light to cover a 4x4 area. Any suggestions on a couple lights. Would like to stay under $1500, but any additional savings would be an added perk.. Was looking at these Diamond Series XML350 - 10W CREE XML @ $997/each, its above my range but ive heard they are good.

You should check out Optic Lighting, they have some COB panels that can replace your 600w HPS's, and are near your price range. The Vero 29 360W, and the CXB 360w, are both suitable replacements for your situation. Use the code "SUPRASPL" for an extra 10% off.

I would keep 1 of the 600hps on one side and put 4 A51 RW150 on the other then the 2nd run upgrade the other side. Spend the 1600 and u my friend will be impressed! veg/flower from the same unit! The quality of the LED grown buds will blow u away!

A side from the savings from the heat, is there any power savings when switching from a 600w HPS to 4@ A51 150w leds? What about using 5 of the A51 RW75 to cover each 4x4 area?

electric will be around same. 600 watts of a51 will properly light a 4x4. If you do what I recommend? You will thank me later! remember area51 Led,opticlighting vero29 3000k are the best available now. RWs are on sale for a steal $398 ! stay away from the others! I keep up on this! u have any question? Holla! This pic was from last run. I have added a opticvero 3k 200w and its a very good one! Multiple smaller units are better than 1 big one! Coverage area is a lot better!

But you get savings on other things.
No more new bulbs. No more new reflectors. Leds last 5 years. Less money on ac and ac electricity.

First I must say I am all for all these new technologies
But if your assessment of led only lasting 5 years is correct then the old Gavita HPS is clearly a better buy - DE bulbs are supposed to last 2? years
So 2 1/4 bulbs and 2 1/4 reflector inserts at the 5 year mark. Then you can just swap them again and keep going past that point while the led panel is just tossed in the trash at 5 years?

I think that most of these high end DIY lights have much more than 5 years when run as soft as most are. And if they did only last 5 years they most likely can be upgrade or repaired quite easily. Commercial or any that is ran hard won't last as long as far as I understand . I have my first light that is over a year old and it is actually better than at first. There are a lot of variables with thousands of different ones out there. All of this is IMO

Soft running LEDs have much higher life expectancy than 5 years.

i have small grow space 40cm*60cm h100 and want to grow 2 autoflower with lst, and i want to know what cheap led can be good to this small space ,
i was find some info about Apollo and mars 48*3
and i want to know what can fit better

Fuck no........stick with your hid until you can afford a quality unit@three times the cost of that mars unfortunately.......but that's what it is right now.

DIY is cheaper and gives you the option of running the best on the market.....
