Optic Vero 360 arrived on time. It's been hanging since Friday. I kill-a-watted it 370.

It is super quiet and gives off far less heat than the Mars I had been using. The white light is a huge bonus. The suspicious eerie, photo ruining purplish glow is completely absent. Pics show the lamp with and without the 90 degree, magnetic glass lenses.

My ladies are kind of in chaos because I had a 2 week period where i needed to maintain schedules for both veg and flower with just a couple of cfl's. I kept them just marginally lit and they were a lil cooler as well. In the pics you can see where i dropped the cfl hood and wiped out 1/2 a plant.

Hello everybody!

I would like to hear some of your thoughts on my next purchase for a light.

I was running only from seed in my 3x3x7 area, with a 600w hps/mh, but now I am going to try to keep mothers, veg a couple clones, start new seedlings etc in a seperate veg area. And use the 3x3 area mainly as a flower tent.

My veg area is about 3x2 but most likely I'll be utilizing a 2x2 or an 18"x18" footprint for now, instead of getting a HO t5 I was thinking of just grabbing the new Area 51 RW 75. My thoughts are, when I expand this light can be utilized better than a t5, I can throw it in flower room in flower mode for extra boost, and it'll help once I can afford to replace the 600 hps(hopefully with an at600)

What Do you think? Other options? Appreciate your advice thanks

2 RW150 should replace 600watt hps. The optic fixture looks legit! I like the suitcase design. I gotta question? Vero 3000 or 4000 for best Flowering??

$215 seems like a lot for a veg lamp. Just realized the sale prices are 215 and 420. How californiacentric.

If you have a dedicated veg, build a cheap dedicated veg lamp. I did this with no experience at all for under a hundred bucks.

Then save your money and buy your at600 or do what Jimmy say.

Thanks a bunch for the opinions,

DIY is something I been looking into,as I navigate the site better, I see plenty of good ideas, heat has always been my enemy in my environment, so I am really attracted to LEDs

Greengenes great to see you I watch you on YouTube, or at least I think it's you, great info either way very helpful, and educational.

I'm not looking to " replace" my 600 in the 3x3, when I get the at600 , I'll have a 4x4 area for it when complete. Then I'll use the 3x3 for veg, and the small 3x2 for clones and starting. (Hopefully eliminating the 600hps altogether) Just was going to spend 100 bucks on a HO t5, so figure for only 100 bucks more I can get my feet wet with LEDs

thanks again guys much appreciated

Hey that seems reasonable also, do you have any links or ideas or pics to show me how you did it, or set me on the right track?

Thanks for the help

3k or 4k....I selected 4k. i learned from Supraspl that the optic lenses shift temp to 3500.

I use the light in flowering only. Currently it is just the 5th day under the vero. 2 plants out of three are still adjusting to the abrupt change from low cfl to the vero. one plant is jubilant. it is younger than the others and the optic arrived about fhe middle of it's stretch. It has a load of bud sites and very good maintenance below the canopy. It's in a 7 gal with superb soil.

I hope to work some craft with the optic vero. There is tremendous potential. the strain is Western Winds.

Okay everybody I finally got my rw75. Quick question for those of you who know. On Area 51 website it says 50 watt veg mode (white lights only) and 77.5 watt flower mode (red and white) so does that mean the red lights only amount to 27.5 watts?
