I've seen and read almost entirely good things and results from them.
I don't like CLW because they play the "proprietary spectrum" game. Logically, that can only mean they are appealing to "secret sauce." That you're getting something so advantageous it must be kept secret. CLW will say it's to prevent competitors from discovering the "secret." But, any competitor who wants to know the secret can acquire a light and figure it out. As soon as a light leaves the door, it's no longer "secret." You can even buy a DIY spectrometer (PublicLabs) for $35 to discern the ratio of red/blue, etc. Therefore, logically speaking, the only purpose to play up the "proprietary blend" is to promote buying on less-than-objective criteria.

That coincides with CLW's use of "adjusted PAR" values in their literature. They put the disclaimer in a footnote which few will take the time to consider -- instead of displaying actual PAR values.

For the money I think you can do better (and promote transparency).

So besides the AT600 and (4) A51 RW-150's, what LEDs are you guys recommending for a 4 x 4 space? I would need to pull at least a lb from the light(s) in organic soil mix to make it worth replacing a 600 HPS. With all the tech available now, there must be other quality options besides those two. I've pretty much seen everything else shit on at one time or another in this thread lol.

The DS XML 350 seems like it does a damn fine job, but Psuagro is not a fan. Any other input on the options I've gone over?

So far I've gotten that Lumigrow is overpriced, DS XML 350 is old tech, CLW is deceiving their customers and I could do better for the money, Growblu lacks durability.

Psuagro, are there any usual suspects aside from Apache and Area 51? I'm going to continue my research a while longer while I learn some more, so i ordered a new 600 HPS to get me by.

Sunday evening smoke sesh time. Peace!

I spent last September to march of this year watching the LED debate and what's best. In the end I kept coming back to a 51. I bought one xgs 190 and pulled over 6 oz of nice frosty bud. I now have two 190's. I mean how many complaints have been posted about a51 or AT panels?. Exactly!. I went with the 190 because I have glaucoma and my eyesight is slowly degrading. I need the bright light. Screw the Chinese and their bullshit super terrific happy lights.

Nice haul! What size tent did you run it in? Did you journal it? I'd love to see a journal of that light. There doesn't seem to be many.

If I went that route I could do 2 of those and 2 x RW 150 for a nice spectrum.

3x3 tent one 190 no side lighting. I journaled it here in the LED section, "nirvana Snow White Area 51 xgs 190 first led grow" . Seed to harvest. I'm a newer indoor grower with a lot of outdoor growing a long time ago. I let the canopy get a little out of hand but the end result was good. The smoke surprised me for a nirvana strain, good mid range. Check it out. Wish you luck with whichever you choose.

Are you needing these led panels soon??? or can you wait a couple of months??

The new a51 fixture will include osram 660nm diodes............it's a welcome addition IMO and should be very capable of getting good yields.

I would know that ass anywhere...how's it going, sb?
No rush really. The new 600 will get me by, but i would like to try something this winter. Its worth the wait as long as they are good value like their previous versions of A51. The more I think about it the more I like the idea of more than one panel. It would really provide more potential to combine spectrums and custom fit grow spaces down the road.

What up Shnkrmn!? I'm good man its nice to be catching up around the forum.

Sweet, do you combine the lights/spectrums?
I've been running them separate,I have a 5x5 tent with 4 XGS's and 2-3x3 tents with a XGS in one and a RW-150 in the other and I'm setting up a new 5x5 tent for the 4 RW-150's I ordered. I'm really looking forward to the new Area 51 2015 model but there is no date yet for it's release.

What I find a little funny is that I found those threads late last night and I was so stoned on SLH that I forgot. LOL Thanks!

2' x 2'.....100w cob....8 ".....

You should burn a hole through the canopy just fine without a reflector...

Reflectors are more for taller spaces where you can raise the light high enough to get a good footprint.

The usefulness is debatable too. I go back and forth between using them and not...

I'm debating whether or not I should order one of those XGS-190's before they're out of stock and just chuck it in with a 400 CMH for a run, or wait for 2015 tech. Am I right to assume that the 2014 tech won't drop in price because they will most likely just sell out of it and never get it back in stock?

The W100s will stick around for a good part of 2015. The 190s and 150s will be gone when they sell out. There's still a good amount of parts and inventory remaining, just takes time to build them, rather do it right than have messed up units. Per every 10 lights ordered, 5 is built.... Super swamped at the moment...
