I would replace Onyx, with the Hans Panel, but otherwise, you've got it right.
Yeah, I would honestly have all 4 up there? Onyx has a company behind it that has been making lights for the aquarium users for a LOOOOONNNGGG time. They are also cheaper and more powerful per watt than the others listed. Plus. I love the WW crees as compared to the trying to hit individual color bands, but Hans was def on my list. I just didn't want to have to send to Europe if something went wrong!

That's good news. Do you have a journal of any type or a little more info?
I'm harvesting tonight and will be uploading pictures on the LED Users Unite thread along with a final yield update after the cure. I ran a cheese clone in a 30"x30"x60" tent, FFoF soil, SCRoG, Floranova Bloom nutes during flower under 2 RW-75s. I posted a picture on the LED user unite thread but it was of just one cola with the lighting on, not much but I'll be posting more.

Not bad. I have used that a gl40 and currently a secret Jardin I wish I could take certain features of all of them lol...you will have more light leaks in a hydro than a better one so idk, its up to you really
Does anyone have experience with lighthouse hydro tents? They look pretty solid to me. My only problem is that I would like it to be maybe a half foot wider. I cant find a tent 20"x42" though :(

Yeah vitamin is right, those hydro tents are no good for flowering, too many light leaks, seals break if you have high powered fans like my 400CFM inline exhaust fan, I have 2 lighthouse tents I use one for veg right now the other is collecting dust. Go with a grow lab / gorilla tent or something just make sure it has double sided socks my secret jardin doesn't and it sucks.

I think my biggest problem is the lack of space. I have 22" at max to work with in terms of depth. There's a 4'x2' from Gorilla that looks awesome (sweet jesus it ain't cheap) but those last two inches makes it not capable for what I need. Same goes for GrowLab. I wish my closet was just slightly bigger but it looks like neither company can help me.

now it terms of the fan I was just going to go with the TD-100, with 100ish CFM. I dont think I need more with 20"x3'. Plus its all types of quiet and that's important to me. Should be a problem with the tent.

Hmm, gl40 would fit. It's going tocbe toggghttt like a tiger in there
Good fan choice, I have it. Get insulated ducting to cut down on the noise

Hey guys, I've been doing my fair share of reading but I need more of a solid opinion on LED FLOWERING lights.
Currently in a 3x3x6 tent
I know I'm going to have to purchase at least 2 lights to cover my area.
My question is what's the best bang for your buck?
Mars II is what I'm looking into

Or what LED full spectrum lights have you had the most success with?

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere in the 3k posts lol

In Captain M's thread I posted a picture of 4 CREE bulbs mounted horizontally, bulb end to bulb end, in a lengthwise cut of PVC, each secured with a circular clamp around the heatsink and with aluminum foiled taped on the inside of the PVC to act as a reflector. I used three 2700 to 1 5000 for flowering and 1 to 1 for vegging. They're going bye bye anyway, finally joined the COB revolution :).
I saw a picture in yoda's thread. (<<link). A couple of questions:

1. How much does the frosted cover reduce the light? Did you measure before/after lumens?

Just curious about this because T5HO specs seem to show slightly better lumen/watt compared to Cree 100w equivalents. They're just slightly above CFL lumen/watts. I'm wondering if the frosted cover is the cause?

2. Is that cover glass or plastic? How did you remove it? It feels gummy to me. Not sure what it is.

I bought a couple 100w equivalents. Mounted in Bayco clamp-on reflectors. I'm contemplating removing the frosted thing. Not sure if the uniformity of the frosted glass is better. (I know there is a shock hazard if removing the frosted glass).

Thanks in advance.

Since my micro harvest is in its last week im getting ready to start my next one.ive found a few leds that seems like they should be fine but i wanted to get some final opinions.the cabinet measures roughly 35"tall 25 wide and 19 deep.i plan on using fem seeds and scrogging and only growing 1 or 2 at a time in it.my light choices are apollo horticulture GL100led spectrum is 430,475,620,630,660,730 and white. LH blackstar 135w uv spectrum 380,425,630,660,730 and 12000k white. Vipar 400w spectrum 430-440,450-460,620-630,650-660 6000-9000k white. MarsII 400w spectrum 430-440,450-475,620-630,650-670,white,ir 730. Any advice would be great,i dont want to build a system and i dont want to spend a fortune. Ill put a pic of the cabinet just so you have an idea of what space ive got.

Out of that list, go for the Vipar, make sure its one of the reflector models. If you wanted to save even more money, grab the 3W version, instead of the 5W version. Why? Because the 5W diodes may be too intense for your plants with a max ceiling of only 3 feet. Good luck, sir.

I'm almost entirely certain that somewhere within nearly 200 pages of posts, my question has been answered already, but I just can't seem to get a straight answer by searching. If someone could forgive my newbishness and offer a few tidbits of expertise, it would be awesome. Plain old P&L isn't begrudged either, though.

I'm building a new 2'x3'x7' cabinet.

1. When it comes to LED's, if I can't find a light designed for the size of my grow space, is it better to over-compensate a bit or to go with a slightly weaker light? For example, when comparing the CLW SF220 (supposedly ideal for a 2'x2' area) and the corresponding larger unit CLW SS440 (supposedly ideal for a 3'x3' area), I couldn't decide what would be more effective for my plants. I know that the recommended areas aren't perfect and there are other lights on the market that might be a better fit for my space, but the question continues to nag at me.

2. If all other things were equal, including price, does it improve plant health and final yield to make use of dedicated spectra for veg/bloom, or is it a toss-up if you're using a quality full spectrum light? Most of the information I've been reading over the past few months of research has involved HID lighting, so I have it in my head that having dedicated, veg/bloom-specific lights is a good idea, but I've been informed elsewhere that it is not necessary when using a quality full spectrum LED.

Advice appreciated.

SS 440 is allot of wattage for that space, gonna need adequate exhaust/circulation. Not a huge fan of the veg/bloom switches(usually just go full power) but it is a nice option if the room/strains don't cooperate:)

may want to look at using 2 RW 75 from a51 as a better pick for your area IMO with way less power consumption and more canopy flexibility
