and we are the most nordic nation actually (the other scandinavian nations are more mixed)

but we havent fought with swords for a thousand years and generally been peaceful since then (apart from the occasional drunken fight)



..the people of iceland said no to the bankers, the icelandic government on the other hand is totally in the hands of the private sector and did cave in to foreign demands as much as they could (as much as the people allowed them)

its like this, 97% of the country said no supporting the iraq war, yet the government still supported that shit.

its this and many such other things that have made the country boil over.

its still boiling now, with many clamoring for change.

but the general attitude is "fuck this, this is unacceptable, we will not be made into fucking slaves"

I read his post and started laughing. How much more Nordic can you get? WTF? :D

icelanders are not really nordic anymore than anyone is pure anything.

we are mixed with english, french, bit turkish and even bit american indian (the first vikings that went over, brought some chicks back)

along with probably something more (vikings travelled a good part of the globe, working as merceneries and brought women home sometimes)

there are not alot of blond people in iceland or not not that many true blue eyes.

and this is a country more or less isolated for a thousand years, so id imagine talking about racial purity in Any Other country

is a big fucking Joke at best.

oh, and some irish and scottish (pretty big part) and probably a small percentage of all the european countries at least (we went allover europe and far into russia and the middle east (and thats only what was recorded) (we were pretty big on keeping records (though much is lost))

heheh though bjork in appearance and behavior is rather unique even in iceland..


well, i cant speak for everyone in iceland, but ive done the ole berserker a few times (though it used to take months to get me to that stage (though lately im more of the "if you fuck with me , you deserve what you get" (saves time and hassle)) (plus the berserker thing gets bit extreme, why go nuts when a single punch was enough?)

but the berserkers are usually very nice people.

the thing is, some asshole is bugging them and just doesnt let up despite the berserker saying "i wont fight you" or "leave me alone" or whatever lol

and then something snaps.

humm, though a true berserker state is not something you remember (the mind turns off and only the fury remains and then you wake up and everything is covered in blood (lol if a adult did that, but ive never heard of that happening and as a kid, well, there are alot of shocked faces and some blood (its rather rare))

you learn restraint and iceland is simply too nice a place to require berserking (though druglaws and eastern gangs entering the country might be changing that..)

its a bit like being the hulk..

rage can have tremendous impact on strength, one time i lifted a guy with one hand and smashed him against a wall till he passed out (slightly smaller than me and i was maybe 15 or 16)

and that was only bit angry (humm, in comparison..)

so it gets to be a case of "please dont make me angry, you will regret it" lol..
and extreme self control.

hmm, though im a very extreme case in these matters (havent met many others)

(its more a problem than a blessing in modern society btw, if anyone thinks im bragging (though ive long ago gotten it under control and can use it at will for the most part (though i wont ever become near as angry as i did and thats fine, dont really need that much of a boost and havent needed that boost in years (decade actually, not since some bugger thought i looked weak enough to be a target)
