I WANT seeds from my plants...so what is the best route to take?

I don't think I'm gonna chance it...I think I'll cut them. They were the second set of leaves so no big deal...the ones with three leaf..pods...or whatever you might call them. Is there a word for that? Like, start with 3, then 5, then 7 (I've got those now) and then 9 leaves on each leaf as the plant gets taller...

I just confused myself...wtf.

Two months needs to come quickly. I'm dryer than a mofo. Even had time to clean all the pipes because its so dry for me. Not for the city...just for me, lol. Lost my contacts.

I cut the bad leaves off the one on the left...kept the stems. As a test, I thought I'd see if they'll sprout new leaves or not. I doubt it though, so if I don't see any growth I'll trim them right to the stalk.

Would it be getting close to time to cut clones? Some of the lower stems have several side sprouts that look like what Jorge Cervantes cuts in his videos except mine only have three bladed leaves (I figured out a better word for it!) Should I wait until the stems with five and seven bladed leaves get bigger and use those or can you use some of the earlier nodes as clones? I just didn't want to reduce the yield much since its already gonna be kinda low. Gonna order a cloning box and rockwool/hormone growth with my next paycheck.

If your plants have been outside then they are not in Veg anymore, they are flowering. Meaning do not cut clones, on top of that the plants are small and dont have any good cloning material on them (due to them being in flower). If you want clones they will need to go on a 18/6 or 24 schedule. You will prob need to give them a few days of 24 hours of light to snap them back into veg.

Just saw your post. Refer to the PM. I'm gonna go ahead and flower them, get some seeds hopefully, and start over next time.

Ugh! I broke down and brought them inside. Leaves started breaking off and stuff from all this wind lately...and frankly, I got tired of chasing the sunlight. I know this is terribly ghetto, but think it will work until the adapters and Y splitters I ordered come in and can make something a little more permanent?

It will be fine, just keep them on the light schedule and get a timer and set it to the schedule your on. Its not the best situation for ya i know and you can only so with what ya got. Keep the light above them a little lower if ya can (or raise them up a bit either or).

Walgreens had timers, 2 for $10. I saved $2. Ballin' on a budget. :-D I can lower the light a little more...its strung up to the shelving unit in the closet. I'm gonna look for someone selling some reflective bathroom vanity lights for cheap and maybe throw the Y adapters I ordered into those...but for the mean time, I'll use a few of like, the 100 power strips that I have.

Instead of the vanity lights, you might find some old lamps at garage/yard sales faster. They usually run $1-2, just strip the cord and socket out and they work just fine as well. Attach them to a piece of a 2x4 and your good to go :blsmoke:

If you safely attach the light sockets to the board there shouldnt be an issue. Nothing is gonna get "hot" enough to burn anything, obviously your not gonna hook up a fraid cord to the unit. If your still unsure then just screw some small hooks into the board and have the lights have off the hooks. :)

Ordered 6 Y splitters and 8 bulb to electrical plug adapters today. That should be all I need to throw a few more lights on them, and expand the number of bulbs at some point for optimal growth when I can design a better grow area.

The plants seem to have taken nicely to being thrown under the lights and in fact the smell is becoming a little nicer every day. I'll be out of town this weekend, so when I get back I'll take some pics to show how they're doing and look for any signs of damage.

On a side note, I've got a polka dot plant outside that I left alone and forgot about because it was dying. Well, it started reaching out like a vine and naturally started growing in a circular pattern around its pot. Off the main "vine" it has stems that weren't there before reaching out towards the sky. I think I understand how easy LST is now because it looks like that is exactly what its doing. Check out the pic. Nature is a wonderful thing. :-D

Back in town and it looks like they grew up to an inch while I was gone. Awesome! Should be able to throw two more lights on them in the next week or so and also build a stealthy grow box in the next few weeks. I need to look into some better but affordable nutes in the next week also.

When is a good time to cut off the bottom leaves that don't really do much?

So I'm doing a good job then?! :-D I just switched to a 11-35-15 fert. It was the closest I could find on the NPK I need. I used it at half strength last night so we'll see how it does! Going to draw up plans for a grow box tonight and order what I need for cloning. I realize it might be too late to clone but I'm going to try with the smaller branches on the bottom that don't do much.

How did she like half strength? I'd of gone for 1/4 strength myself, so live and learn eh...

Seem to be taking to it well...I'll probably try half strength again with the next watering instead of doing regular water. I think this stuff will work well because my PH was a little high and this fert should lower it a bit. The colas seemed to have doubled in size overnight and I had to move their lights up again last night. The fans jumped in size and the color is a real nice green. I found a good leaf set I think I'll try to clone (although I heard its too late into flowering to try and clone, I'll be cutting this leaf set on the bottom off anyways so may as well try).

Just increased my wattage by 40%. They're lovin' it! Here are some pics...and check out the neglected male that I left in my backyard. My dog got a hold of the bottom branches and I chopped the top off, but check out the purple shade on the leaves.
