I WANT seeds from my plants...so what is the best route to take?

Too early to tell if it is female.

If it's from the same batch of seeds as the males, then I'd assume it's female...if it was my grow
But I'm not going to say it is for sure...'cos it's your grow

the spider is just a jumping spider. they're good, because they eat harmful insects to your plant. im not sure what the green insect is though.

friendlyperson92, I thought it might just be a jumping spider, I have just never seen one that small! Wish I had left him on there now.

I'm probably going to transplant in the next couple of days. The pots I have them in are pretty small. Is it safe to transplant the two males together into the same bucket? Might make it easier to manage for when I come back to them when I'm ready to pollinate a few nodes on the females.

Transplanted the two likely females! I just used some buckets I had laying around and threw some gravel rock in the bottom for drainage. (I'm gonna throw the males in the ground until I need the pollen). The roots looked very healthy to me and I've heard they really take off once put into bigger pots. How am I doing?

Definitely going to try this and also save some of the pollen.

I think the most exciting part of the grow for me so far was seeing that awesome network of roots. My gf kept saying "it doesn't look like they're growing much." When she saw that she realized that the eye doesn't see everything.

Two females confirmed! The other plant is developing a little slower but I can definitely see some white hairs starting to emerge. I'm not going to top, or LST, because I don't want to fubar something up this late in the growing season. I figure I'll just let them run their course and try LST next year if I'm successful with these.

They need 12-12 to start budding right? So when do I decide to move them into an area that gets 12-12? How far out am I probably til it starts budding and then harvest?

When to flower is up to you and how big you want them. They will double in height during 12/12, a few will triple. From the time you switch to 12/12, you will have 8-12 weeks until you are ready to choppity-chop. Maybe longer depending on the strain. This is not an impatient persons hobby.

You will start to see buds forming 2-3 weeks after the switch.

The girls looked happy this morning! The guys are now inside and I'm collecting the pollen from them.

Make sure to store the pollen well. You will need to use it somewhere around the 3rd week of 12/12 on your females. I would recommend a pill bottle or film canister stored in the fridge.

Girls are looking much better, Bet they are happier they have their own pots now too

They've always had their own pots...just very small ones! They really did take off once I put them in the 5 gal buckets.

Been busy lately. Will update soon. Plants are doing well...except I busted my dog eating the botttom set of leaves the other day! Speaking of which, I read somewhere that it is actually a good idea to cut the bottom leaves off to promote growth to the top of the plant. Is this correct? And if so, how do I know which ones to cut off? Wouldnt that reduce the surface area of leaves that are getting sunlight?

I would leave leaves alone unless they're dead.
I think of them as super-sophisticated solar panels, made that size for good reasons...enough said really.

Thanks. I figure it cant hurt anything by leaving them but was curious. The bottom two Rounded ones, the first ones that sprout died a week or so ago but I guess thats no big deal.

Are cannabis plants able to gather sunlight even when in the shade?

I started leaving mine in a place I feel is best to keep hidden from prying eyes instead of chasing the sunlight all day by moving them around the yard. Its shaded about half the day but the plants are still reaching skyward and stay full and healthy looking (no droop) until the sun sets in the evening. Once the sun is down, they droop down, but are always reaching up again with the first hint of morning sunlight. Thoughts and opinions?

Ya know a couple years ago I had a cat. It followed me into my indoor grow i had going at the time and I didnt see her come in or notice her till I came back in the room (was getting ready to feed going back and forth.) Well when I came back in I caught her munching away on the bottom leaves. I "shoo'd" her away left the leaves they only looked a little tattered, things seemed ok for a day. The leaves she munched on started to kinda deteriorate/wilt but i left the leaves on there. The next day the leaves above the bottom set where she started to munch on started changing like the leaves lower to them. You can tell something was starting to spread so i cut the branches off and quarantined the poor baby. After that she was fine, but imho I would at least chop off the leaf sets that were chewed on. But if you keep them on I would keep an eye on her closely over the next couple days.

Ehh The solar panel thing is true and all but do you really want to waste excess energy on the bottom branches that will produce unfinished small popcorn buds? When you can lolli pop (cutting the bottom 1/4-1/3 of the plant's foliage) and have the plant focus on the top buds (which is where the "popcorn buds" that could of been will now conflate to the upper buds) instead of wasting energy and what not on the bottom branches. But then again ppl have their own preference, some see results some dont. Ive done numerous experiments when it comes to lolli popping. Have you lolli popped much? Im speaking from experience just not preference.

Edit: Forgot to add that you lolli pop1-2 weeks before flower. Due to the stress it causes the plant(s). Needs time to recover or it will hinder the flowering cycle and your yield.

Theres "light" but the plant(s) really need direct light. If outside at least a minimum of 6 hours is suggested. The way the plant is acting is normal. Plants reach for the sunlight, they always will until there is none. They have ""biological clocks" like we do and are sensitive to its surroundings.
