five days since my last post... hmm, let's see what you've missed...
1: I have switched over to full strength technaflora nutrients:blsmoke:. plus a small bottle of foliar feed made up of the same cocktail. 150 ml every two-three days with a foliar feed every day.
2: I have removed all the DVD's that were keeping the plants close to the lights and now ive even had to raise the lights to the bottom of the cab on top of the base as they are still too tall.:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
3: Still seeing little tweaks and things that i have to fight with, but it's all hardware issues plants are strong, green and happy!:bigjoint:

The other pix are to show ph after the nutes are added. this stuff is pre-ph'd, so other than the filtered water i start with, i dont have to add anything! Some Group shiots and one to show nodes! dont worry, they didnt stretch, i chopped off all of the yellowing and brown decaying matter to better promote airflow.

This makes day fifteen flower, still not seeing any sex yet.:cuss: other than that, it's all gravy baby.

like, it's been thirteen days since i last updated. my bad, i couldnt get to the internet to update... but im not dead in the water yet! I had six girls in party cups, then my foxfarm soil came in and i transplanted to 5.2 inch, self watering pots. I pulled two for being males, then let them sit for a few more days. after seeing more and more pistil growth off of three of the four, and still not seeing any sexing on the fourth, male or female, i threw it out. now im done with selection and am sitting out the rest of the grow in these pots. pics a little later, my camera is charging.

three little girls with a decent nug set on them, and (maybe, if they root) two clones of the indica-dominant hybrid as well. im pretty sure theyre all hybrids. none show pure genotypes one way or another. i feel like at only about 12 inches, they wont produce much smokeable material. Not like it would be bad quality, just not a lot of it. and perpetual is hard when they are the height that they are. the tallest one is only about 14 inches tall. but theyre female and not mold and disease-ridden. no bugs and my heat and lights are stable. looking for a slightly more stable unit. this box has the height i like, but id have to let a plant get a little bigger and since the lights are basically fixed, combined with the overall output of CFL bulbs, i guess im doing better than most. but i want a better built box and some stable genetics that i can clone off of without worry. anybody know of a builder or schematics for a CFL powered box to go from veg to bloom in with good ventilation and decent size that wont run me $500+ USD?

Hey Creole how things been? I'm digging the grow. If I could interject for a moment I can offer up some ideas for cab design. I built my cab for under 150 and I'm running t8's in it now with semi good results. although I use my cab for flower only im sure it would work well as an all around grow space, as it is more than big enough. the dimensions are 4ft x 2.5 ft x 4.5 ft.

I dont know how long your girls have been in flowering but what I have learned is that on my next time around I will have to wait a little longer in veg so I achieve a better and more desireable heidth plant, simply because they dont always grow that much in height extra pass the 2nd -3rd week of flowering. I put my girls into flower when they were about 3 inches tall( they had almost 8-12 nodes though).

I think if I had to guess I will get a yield of about 1/2 to 1 ounces per plant. I was under the impression plants would stretch a butt load and prepared for that outcome, however that day never came as im sitting with about 9 inch plants and they are moving past the stretch phase of flowering growth, straight to bud building and fattening up at day 15 flowering(15 days since bud spotted, been in 12/12 for 25 days). I fear there isn't much hope for any larger plant at the point. all's I can do now is wait and hope for good danky dank buds! Ideally i'd like a little bit more than the probable 1/2 to 1 ounce i'll get from each plant. simply to make absolute sure I could last out on my stash till the next 30 day away harvest(perpetual harvest set for every 30 days). my cab isnt the most pro looking thing ever but its deffinately workable and works pretty well I might add.

here's a few pics of what I built. Hope it inspires idea's for a setup for yourself. I built this out of 2x4's and 1x2's for the framing and osb for exterior walling. (al in all about $75 bucks in material, not including lighting or fans.)

keep up the good work!

Loc, remember , bud weight isnt necessarily going to come from the size of the plant, but rather how well the light you have penetrates the plant, my only tried and true way to fatten up buds is side lighting. as for myself, im looking and leaning towards this unit: http://www.growrelentless.com/mini-grower/ bongsmilie

I feel like, aside from monetary issues, (why this bitch gotta cost me $250 USD?:cuss:) its the safest route to go if I want to have a stable environment for my ladies. Id rather build it myself but i cant seem to find a good, cool running, multi-lighted CFl ballast. All the HID-heads have their bright lights and big bills, I dont have/want that so i use CFL, plus soil and cfl and personal grows just sound like some hand-in hand type shit. now, if you know of any good diy ballasts that I could actually modify and use for my own selfish gain, id gladly +rep ya for em. Maybe a little poly film inside and out for the inevitable light leak. amazon.com man, shits got EVERYTHING! and with a valid school acct, free 2 day shipping for a year!

I like your cab: simple, diy, effective. My opinion? drop them lights down to about 1-3" (inches) above them. and I vegged for sixteen (16) days, seeing about 7 inches height before i went to flower. now id say im sitting at about 14" for the tallest and about 9" for the smallest.

This is about two weeks worth of missed pictures showing the final three in the cab with the addition of the two RAGGEDY-ASS, first-time,way too small clones i took from two of the three.:wall: i just hope they root. also the indica dominant plant was the plant i was talking about in an earlier post about the black tips, the new growth, before flowering began was black tipped plant growth, me not knowing what i was looking at did some research, and after careful observation, found no solid answer so i chopped the new growth, well i guess i chopped a little too far because I accidentally (kindabutnotreally) topped her, creating two colas. Now she is about 3-4 days behind the other two because of it, but i was planning on flowering for 8-11 weeks anyway, so she'll have plenty of time to recover. and the clones? well i cut and re rooted them properly according to SeeMore Buds' outline, but one was with a leaf that was already going, and the other was a the beginnings of a bud site i couldn't have used anyway, but i think i cut enough genetic material that I'll be able to have a rootable sample. Here's hoping anyway,

i got rid of the clones. my girls are too small for that this time. plus, the other 3 producing girls are really starting to need a little more room as they continue to fatten up!

It was meant as a compliment, was refering to how small they were when switched to 12/12.
