Duct tape a drill to a table. Roll some buds across a wide diameter bit. It's not as messy as it sounds and you'd be surprised how good a job it can do. A little ghetto but it's essentialy what you would be getting with something commercial. Minus a vaccum and catch. Hope you find something that works for ya!

I don't like any commercial trimmer. Even with what I'm doing, Most of my patients have no trouble coming to an "off site" facility to help trim what ends up as "their" buds. They end up doing an outstanding job for just that reason!
To much to loose, concentrates are made from the trim and that's money in my pocket.

Hire trust worthy hand trimmers if you have to. Alternate finish times to fill your needs and keep a steady supply.

HAHA all these DIY trimmers are amazing. This makes me want to build my own and perfect it, to where I can clean the parts for the goodness too. Thanks you all for posting

Hand trimming does a better job no question but up here its best to not drive around with it lol. I'm a lone wolf when it comes to growing for profit now so trimmer comes in mighty handy when I had a cube van (storage shed ;) ) full of blueberry and just me lol. Not sure why the trim would be of concern,by machine or hand it still makes great concentrate.

I feel that machine trimmers cause to much damage to the trichomes for quality (and quantity) full melt to be made.

Opinions are the way this place works.

Do what works for YOU is the true rule.

^^^ you could be right, it was more of a question than a statement, sorry. I figured that seeings how the product is still pretty wet the triches would still be there if doing concentrates re: extractions, but to be honest I never really gave it much thought. Also its all done by hand, by me now lol. Hard to justify the waste of bud for a lb of pot IMO.
