When are you going to stop tying or threading your plants through the screen, if ever?

Would buds that are lying on their sides, or standing up be receiving more light?

I won't have to worry about this for another 5 weeks, but I'd like to get a handle on it now. I imagine it would be a problem keeping an even canopy even for the last 3 weeks if uncontrolled

i like what your doing here billybob, real impressive, can't wait to see the results.

I just built a grow room similar in dimension to yours, its a box 8.5'x8.5'x6.5'

The flowerin room is gonna be 4'x8' and i want to use your technique, but haven't bought the lights yet. I'm gonna go with a soilless mix too, don't know how you might feel about that, but i don't think i can handle hydro.

Im hopin to have 12 plants like you, evn though you have a little larger area, but you mentioned that the edges didnt completely fill so i should be safe right?

Also.

This is my first grow, I tihnk im gonna get 3 400w instead of your two 600w. Reason being is there are like 5 400watters on craigslsit in my area, but no 600s. you think this should work?

and lastly, how high did you let the plant go above the screen before topping during veg??

LOL i was so drunk last night. anyways. Hashplant- in scrog you train up til 2 weeks of flowering then you let them go. Calvin-sounds f-in awesome man im excited for you. shit ge the 400s. more points of stationary light and you can gain enough wattage if u get enough of them. also you should be fine in your screen. my whole screen is slap full now though. your just going to have to plan and predict the stretch of your plants right. the only problem i see with going soil is having to water all the plants in the back of the screen and what not. I can only imagine if i was in soil, i realize i rely on the timer on the controller of my hydro system to do all the work. waters right on time, everytime. but if u can get to them go for it. Also i topped my plants right b4 they hit the screen. maybe 2 inches below the screen, so right as i was begining to train the new tops were established and growing.

ah k, so you've already stopped tying them down, i missed that.

There's really no way to split that screen up w/o losing light in the pathways, how are you going to set it up next time you grow scrog?

They are i think 3 1/2 maybe coming up on 4 weeks of flowering. tehy got set back a week when i trimmed everything useless off. but they are blowing up now. and yes Ser0 as the plant shoots up you train the branches into the screen. they grow 2-3 inches above the screen then u bring the tip abck down into another hole in the direction u want it to grow and so on and so on. like i trained alot of tops right under the bulbs and not as many out on the edges of the screen. new pics in 10 minutes.

who knows man. still a while to go. but i estimated over 200 budsites in the screen. my first grow i got 10 ounces off 3 shitty plants. this time is going alot better, and the method im using. im praying for at least 1gram/watt. i have 1450 watts. so 3 1/4 lbs is what i think will come. but who knows, could get more, could get less. 1gram/watt is a lofty goal, but im doin everything i can for them so its cool. im not really to worried about the yeild, it will come. theres so many more tasks at hand right now to really worry about the number i will end up with.
