I am a new grower working on my first grow, I am growing 10 plants, 5 outdoors and 5 indoors. Basically I'm asking the experienced growers of this site for advice and things you wish you had known (Besides the basics) when you first started out growing, any information is greatly appreciated, knowledge is golden to me so help me out

Take all ten outside lol. I started with outdoor grows and way easier IMO to do the outdoor grow, they damn near grow themselves :). Also how hard it would be to control temps to get max yield in warm months and prepare

Agree with Budley Doright.. outside is a good start, if you can do it outside without prying eyes and or legal... if doing some inside, exhaust, air cooled hood and a good light..keep temps in mid 70's , humidity in the 50's for veg and 40's during flower and try to keep it simple and CLEAN... use a decent soil... and keep some food grade Diatomaceous Earth around ... light reading.. http://www.growweedeasy.com/7-tips-to-growing-top-shelf-buds.... happy growing..

Great advice for a noob lol. OP you may want to file this for a few grows then if feeling adventurous maybe try it. For now you could top a few, train a few, but mainly just let them do their thing and don't get to fancy :). Be patient and calm, they will grow :).
Sais the man with countless invisible grows..lol. when are u gona show us a pic of ur outdoor grows??

Buy decent gear unless you want to replace shit stuff. Not fun when you need to urgently go grab something like an air pump or fan etc.

And number one rule - don't tell anyone.

Well it's kinda cold here right now, plants need to start just a bit later but I'll gladly post a few, surely you know it's to early here, right? But your welcome to visit my OH ZONE grow, perhaps you could share some of you knowledge :). I asked you a month ago to look and nary a word, I'm feeling like you don't want to help lol. You should post up some pics as well, of any sort, indoor or out, I haven't seen any. With all the extremely accurate advice you offer they must be epic, top shelf product. As well it'll increase your thread count to more than two.....how do you do that? 1700 posts and two started threads.... That's amazing lol.

Now back to the thread :(, after being interrupted by troll boy lol. To OP don't plant to early outside, they die lol. And if your doing a stealth grow try and have a few different routes in, paths are a bad thing. What are you planting the outdoor plants in, pots, bags, or holes? A season long water supply is nice as well if a stealth grow, watering is the key.

first grow
5 in + 5 out = 2 different growa in parallel
it will take a lot of time to invest for 4 months on
be sure you have that time on hand

Open sesame an epsomsalt when early flowers appear
Open sesame (FF) is 5 - 45 - 19 ! P is WAY too high! Unless you have rather advanced skills. DO NOT USE or you'll burn your plant shitless with P....It will yellow out from bottom to top and you'll have reduced yields and quality!

Never mix Epsom into soil.....You can mix some with water and apply that.....Still better to make a "Sweet Raw" type of supplement with it and use that properly then to add Epsom for anything except to correct an "emergency" Mg shortage.

De fan the hell out of it less leaves...more flower...carful not to much
Oh PLEASE don't do this ! This is a hotly contested issue here! We have an actual side by side, being done by a very, very advanced skills grower to prove the point that all you'll really get is smaller denser buds that have potency but little bag appeal vs. non defoliated......Leaves are the food factories of the plant! What happens when less food is available?

Dont spray a pest control of anykind unless it all natural...dont spray anything when it flowers
This is opinion! Form your OWN!

I have no doubt you will! The first time you get spider mites and you can't control them after a few weeks of Neem.

Outdoors is good if your in a climate where your plants can actually finish...

I started over 43 years ago. I wish I had the resources available today that you have access to! Get and read several books on the subject! I strongly suggest these..

http://www.amazon.com/Marijuana-Growers-Handbook-Complete-Cultivation/dp/0932551467

Organic explanations and methods if you intend to do it naturally!

http://www.amazon.com/Teaming-Microbes-Organic-Gardeners-Revised/dp/1604691131?ie=UTF8&keywords=teaming with microbes&qid=1462188220&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

Treat you plant like a normal tropical plant and find it easier to do.
If you choose the synthetic route -
Do NOT fall for nutrient makers telling you to start high P bloom foods at the flip in lighting times!
Continue "veg" feeds for 2 weeks after the light flip at the 3rd week mix the veg and bloom 50/50.
NO sooner then week 4 do you start 100% bloom feeds!

Follow this and get healthier, greener plants in bloom as they should be!

Your first grow should be about learning how to water and feed properly. How to tell a male from a female. I would also learn how to top, but only top a few so you can see what the outcome is.
Environment is a big one. You should already have your indoor setup going and testing for temps and air exchange before you put plants in. Read up on harvest and curing and consider where you will be doing this.

I also think 10 seems like a bit much for a new grower. I think one of the biggest problems is new growers taking on too much. Speaking of too much, dont go buying 15 bottles of fertilizers either. Get a one part or 2 part grow/bloom and calmag. Thats pretty much all you need.

The best thing you can do for yourself right now is READ READ READ.

I hope this helps

Good luck and happy growing.
:peace:
