maybe its just not for you. I personally do not like DWC, finding a good drain to waste system would be less maintence, and prove your opinions wrong.

my first dwc was a real pain until i started using store bought distilled water. The res stayed pretty consistant after that.

funny Ive never had ph problems like that. With hydro PH is known to slowly rise, but not too much.

What nutes are you using, and please dont say stealth hydro powder.

Some people like having to keep a closer eye on their babies, gives them something to do while they wait for them to grow.

Man im still a newbie at hydro, but i feel your struggle with ph. i have a 2 hydro farm buckets goin and everyday the ph jumps to 7. i do have some air stones running in the reservoir all the time. Hydro seems a way to labor intensive. May it will change once i get my set up right. My soil grows rocked!!! but i heard faster and better yeild out of hydro.

well youre using a 1 part bloom mix, you should be using their grow. Flora Nova is used when flowering. If you want to stick with General Hydroponics then go pick up their 3 part nutrient system, 1 bottle of floragrow, 1 bottle of flora micro and 1 bottle of flora bloom. Ask for a mix chart if it doesnt come with one.

There are buffers in the nutes that help keep you PH stable. But first you have to be using the correct nutes.

If you want somthing a bit easier, with a better recipe, Id go with Dutch Master Gold, there is a 2 part mix, A & B for Veg, as well as a 2 Part A & B for Flower.

Curious if you realize that you need to PH balance soil too

really you just need ph balanced nutes i use GH flora series and it auto PHs the water every time

also u need to run a water line or hose to your grow room and install a tube drain going out. then its takes all the work out of it.

i dont even mess with my setup more than 2 - 3 min per day or even every other day if you wanna be lazy i dont even ph test my water anymore theres no point nutes put it close enough everyt time.

Wow it has been my experence that you should always PH your water first then add nutes. If that is the case for you then where ever you live must have water with a PH right where you need it to be. With PH each number is 10x more or less acidic. So the diffrence between 6 and 8 is 100x. Ph is the #1 determining factor in nut uptake. Where I live the water comes out of the spikit at a PH of 8.2 and I need it to be 5.5. The diffrence is almost 1000x less acidic than I need it to be

mine comes out the tap at like around 7.2 ph

Even in hightimes I read that all the weed grown for the cannabis cup is grown in soil. Soil kicks ass. I have a dig ph tester so I feed my plants 6.2-6.3 ph water every watering.

i dissagree, hydro is famous around the world for being the bomb ass weed among marijuana consumers. now this is somewhat a myth cuz soil and hydro produces the same plant but somhow hydro is preferred and thats a fact over the general public preference

plus it grows faster can be flushed quiker and better, dont have to worry about over watering plus you can max out the oxygen going to the roots to 100% of what they can use or even more if you want overkill

I go from about a 2 inch rooted clone to a 10" plant in 4 - 5 days using hydro

soil is a slow meandering process that reduces your turn around.

if you can achieve same or better results using water in your bucket instead of a complex optimized soil mix then why use soil & spend the extra cash?

can you tell if somthing is grown in soil or hydro by smoking it? i dont think you can. if they are both grown and flushed properly

i briefly tried soil for a couple of mothers but found it much easyer to get a small bucket and fill it with water and air pump for my moms. it gives you more control of your plants intake
