Cayanne peppers? Interesting height and nice plant.....Your picking as they get to size? I mean I don't see very many pods and blooms appear few and far between......In hydro eh. Peppers (for me) seem to like higher N-P-K's of like Dyna Grow "Grow" and "Foliage Pro" mixed at a total of 16 - 12 - 11,,, get blooms and pods like crazy with Reapers/Ghosts/Scorpions/Bishop Caps,,seems like any hot pepper responds to higher NPK's.... If you can add some more red spectrum say from 575nm and up, that may help some too....The closer I can get to real sun, the better for pepper yields..

Same for soil's.....

Just interested...

Thanks for the information. Right now I think we have kind of a smorgasbord of lights but we are in our infancy stage and doing a lot of testing of different technologies but as for our grow when we're done we're either going to go with him to grow induction lighting or all plasma when we're all said and done we should have at least 1000 plants of peppers and tomatoes but one step at a time

For what's it's worth, if this were a vegetable you were feeding your kids, you'd feed them soil-grown. More nutrition
55 of our plants are soil. The hydro system is 6 plants experimenting. The basil is DWC and 4 in soil
Only problem I've had with soil so far as buying the wrong soil I should've stuck with nectar for the gods number four but I chose to go with happy frog because of the price and with that I have gotten that's everywhere so that is why I am not expanding as of yet until I control the problem so far I've put up the strips and dried the plants out and put 2 inches of vermiculite on topso now I have 50% less gnats still a work in progress for nobody that knows I've never grown a thing in my life I started in January and all I've been doing since then is reading and reading and reading and reading and asking questions and learning but I do seem to get a lot of shit from people on here few people I do respect but for the most part a lot of more ignorant pricks. I do appreciate all the help from others on here that is why am still here and not on another site I've grown fond of a few members here and Dr. Who you're one of them. Yeah I just read on the peppers that they do like a higher rating of potassium and Soluble pot ash where is my tomatoes need a little more calcium and magnesium and some potassium as well. I will tell everybody I am new to all this but what I've learned in 12 months is pretty astonishing but I have yet a lot more you learn and I hope I can learn some of that from you guys here so take careimage.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
Try a DWC in a five gal. bucket interesting learning experiment for sure

I never get it when ppl say hydro is expensive, look into making yourself a rdwc system, very easy. Also it is not complicated, just water temps and pH easy. I find hydro very easy and idoit proof but............. I do have friends who mess it up constantly and blame hydro for there downfall when in reality it is them who are Ill prepared, did zero reaserch and could never be bother to keep on top of simple things like water temps.
I guess the only way you will know is if you give it a try pal good luck
Thank u I built 20 site Dwc for 40 bucks. All it took was washing a few old buckets by and some old air pumps clean and some air stones and I get all my Hydroton and medium for free. I simply love growers to do 78 plants and get rid of the median right afterwards I get garbage bags full of them and now they sit and freeze till summertime

Each to their own. This is a weed grown for its different resins. Testing has proven that Hydro and soil deliver what we are looking for. Personally I like good smoke grown from either but I've had shitty tasting smoke from both as well. Generally speaking for me, hydro pot has a cleaner taste, more the essence of the plant rather than musty, earthy, dirt smell I sense with soil grown pot. Now that's not the case with all soil grown especially outdoor, but I think too many dirt growers do not keep their media sweet and fresh.
Growing in soil is too slow for me, and anybody who thinks they can grow as big and fast in soil as you can in a super aerated 13 gal. bucket dwc system is nuts.
Like I said each to their own, but for me soil is awful, unless it is outdoors.

I agree i had two 6 ft tall trees in 18gal dwc and if cured properly you will never taste the difference. I've fooled a few of the so called weed gurus here gave them 20 year old strain of pk ripper grown in dwc. They thought it was organically grown in soil.. its marketing man its all on how you flush and cure

my buddy grows hydro we both grow the same strain I grow soil and there lil to no difference between our buds. the only difference is his plants get about 4-5 inches bigger in the same about of veg time as I do in soil. bud smoke smell yield all the same. for me I stick with soil it seems to me hes always having to do a lot of work where as I pretty much do nothing but water once every 3-4 days i dont even need to look at my shit hes always having to check his...

oddly enough I actually get more yield....not because soil is better but we both grow in the same amount of space but he loses 1 entire plant because of his reservoir where as i use that space up for another plant this isnt a issue if you have unlimited space but take this into consideration....thats one entire plants space taken up

Better look out if he ever gets his system dialed in......

A lot can happen in soil in 3-4 days.....you'll find out one day. It can happen faster in hydro.....Even the best of us get a hiccup once in a while !
