Huge Changes from Advanced Nutrients???

I don't think you are being fair. We are not "religious anti-AN nuts". We just call bullshit when we smell BS. Your post just seems like a normal guy speaking up. Now if you are going to go around to five other marijuana sites and create brand new accounts and post the exact same message, I might think different. Can you see the difference?

Based on what you said, to be fair then, shouldn't they say in fine print somewhere that testimonials are from people who haven't tested the final product, nor did they actually pay for the product?
I don't think that the ethics of product labeling are based on what I say about a product. I'm guessing here.

To continue with the previous "what if" and assume I'm one of the lucky product testers I would still not be a guy that gets phone calls from Big Mike on a regular basis. I wouldn't be informed of every research development or product design plan.

Me saying that I wouldn't have been given the final formula is speculation. I might have heard that they were adding amino acids to the formula I would have allegedly been using, which would certainly improve it even more, but that doesn't mean that I actually know any of this to be true.

And if Windex comes out with a new scent or something they can still use the old endorsements anyway so long as the basis of those endorsements, the key formula, is the same.

Mostly it's just that I, as a guy, don't know this shit. I can't know it. Neither can anyone else. But I can certainly use enough of my brain to figure out what's most likely - that a new product line is tested before it's sold.

People are like "ZOMG! They're trying to sell me something! EVIL!"

WTF? Of course they're trying to sell you something. Everyone that makes a living selling anything tries to sell it. I'm not sure I want to buy something the guy selling it doesn't believe in enough to crank out some razzmatazz.

So this guy posted in a bunch of forums. He seems a bit excitable to me but I used to lurk at Cannabis.com myself. I can definitely understand the frustration he describes, every time I've tried to check there in the last few months it's been down. So maybe he's looking for a new home.

I can't say I'd be surprised if he passes right over RIU after this welcome.

Then again maybe he is working for AN. Personally, I'd rather wait and give someone the benefit of the doubt before I start up a game of Stomp the Newbie.

But when it comes down to it I don't really care if he is paid to be here. (But hey man, if you are... can you get me a job like that?) Any company that's working to legalize MJ, improve it, shit, anything to get it out there in the open, I don't see how I can justify giving them shit.

Advanced Nutrients has done a lot for marijuana over the years. They ain't done it all or anything, but they done a lot. Even in the best of places pot still isn't totally legal and people that grow, use, or even condone it are looked sideways at. So if this guy is part of AN that's fine by me because I realize they can't use the front door around here.

They've got to stay on the clean side of the line so they can do the stuff to help you and me on the other side. It's cool.

You make some very good points about AN. I can understand now why a person might look the other way even if AN uses some slightly underhanded tactics to get their name out there.

But the nute business is tough. If AN feels beat-up by the DEA, RCMP, etc there is always the petunia market. I assume they stick around because there is truckloads of money to be made.

I do firmly believe that this guy was posting on behalf of AN though, In my 2000+ posts it is very rare I stomp a newbie. If ever. Same with AN, I don't believe I've ever said a bad word about them in all my years. Well I might have said they have too many products for me to figure out, but that would be the very worst.

I suppose some of that information is indeed true that they have had some problems in the past, but they don't really make it a secret as to what they produce Nutrients for. There marketing is OBVIOUSLY aimed at Marijuana growers and to say that they can advertise on Weeds and use the publicity of setting up that "grow house" on the show I suspect they shouldn't necessarily have to resort to underhanded tactics.

The point here is that they didn't come on as someone saying "Check out AN's new products, they sound awesome" as much as they tried to mislead and misdirect as if it was one of our own that made these wonderful discoveries.

BUT, I can also see why people might be willing to turn a blind eye to these tactics, but my opinion still stands that it came off poorly and didn't stand to make the brand stonger.

Yeah! Why doesn't Big Mike come here himself and tell all us pot growers that Advanced Nutrients is the greatest stuff for growing pot! It's not like pot is illegal, or as if AN got targeted hard-core a few years back by the damn war on drugs gestapo from the US.

Seriously, use your heads. Yes, everyone knows that AN was designed by pot growers for pot growers. We know this. But in case you hadn't noticed they don't advertise that anymore. They have to keep a certain amount of mainstream above-board appearance or they'll get slammed by the DEA, the RCMP or whoever the hell does the anti-pot nazi crap up north.
.
Have you ever used youtube they have tons of videos that are only about growing pot. urban grower remo?
Am i wrong here?

I dont have anything against AN but i can totaly understand why people say the post is suspect.

I wish I knew, I can't get any answers on that. Anyone heard anything?

A guy on my home forum found a better version of the video. This one doesn't have the end cut off.

Hopefully nobody stomps on me for not posting a million times prior to now, but here's a bit of the scoop on this new stuff:

Bud Candy is the replacement for Sweet Leaf and Carboload and will be both in the same bottle but with other stuff to make it better.

Bud Ignitor is supposed to be the replacement for Bud Blood.

Rhino Skin is simply a name change for Barricade.

No clue what Bud Factor X is going to be.

As far as all of the new ph and ppm buffering stuff goes, I would not trust any of it until I had heard from some pretty experienced growers that it worked.

I am just happy that they will be combining the F1, H2, base nutes, and other stuff in one bottle as well as combining Sweetleaf/Carboload into one. However, I am also curious whether or not the "new" stuff is going to be compatible with the "old" stuff and if they are going to update the nutrient calculator on the website in a way that allows you to mix-n-match them and get accurate results. That nute calculator works great...

Oh, and still nobody knows when any of it will be coming out. Hopefully soon!

I just heard that it's supposed to be "mid March" that this comes out. I dunno how set in stone that is, but the guy I talked to said it was accurate.

Will it be out in the Uk at roughly the same time you reckon. Never used advanced nutes before, what are the price difference between us and uk if anyone knows
I can't say for sure since I haven't shopped on your side of the pond. I have heard that it costs more there than here. It would make sense considering the extra cost of shipping. Stuff from your neck of the woods costs more here. The store guys might know by now, it should be coming out pretty soon.

Is bud candy out?

I'm still gonna test ppm and ph, as much as I would like to believe that it buffers the nutes perfectly I just prefer to do manual testing sometimes. Also, it doesn't help that I have big jugs of the old AN 3 part grow, so yet another reason to keep testing those things ;)

LOL that cracked me up right there..

ya they do have a hell of a marketing squad.. they do have a couple of jewles like any other company like big bud n overdrive but gimme a friggn break you dont need 100 different additives to get good results... gh 3 part, big bud, overdrive, cal mag, you set son!
I totally agree with you! All I use is 3-part A.N.-Big bud, Overdrive, Carboload, CalMag plus, and hygrozyme-works great for me without needing all that marketing bullshit!:hump:
