How to make your plant turn purple?

I really don't see the point in trying to make a normal green strain purple outside of like everyone else has said selling to stupid highschool kids. Your gaining nothing, and losing potency.

As far as saying purple/green all the same though I'd have to argue with you on that one. Not that purple strains are more potent or taste better. Just the taste of a true purple strain is alot different from the other strains, I love me the taste of some GDPs, Urkles, or Purp Kush. Idk how to describe it other then that it tastes purple! haha

just let the weed grow, dont worry about the color, to be honest the most chronic mj ive ever seen and smoked has been GREEN not purple. And the most chronic purple ive smoked is mostly green with slight hints of purple. Dont be a dick sucker, let the plants grow the way theyre gunna grow.

alot of purple weed out there doesnt even possess real genetics, its actually man made by leaving the plants outside in the cold or in the freezer once they are trimmed. So id say 70 percent of the purple that you have had has actually been stressed marijuana that you pay more for just because of its color. Just let nature takes its coures, dont alter and jepordize the potential quality of the plant by trying to make it purple. Dont be a jerk and try to rip people off by giving them weed that has been altered.

Considering that it starts off a genetic issue and then is made more prevalent by the environment (cold) , what if you were to add anthocyanin's?

For instance, make or buy some purple carrot juice and add a tbs to a gallon of water, could this increase the concentration of anthocyanin in the plant?

The only natural way for the flowers to turn purple is if the plant is subject to cold weather, but unless it is close to harvest time then the cold weather could really restrict the developement of the flowers. This would also mean a much smaller yield

Could I just drop my temps in the last week or so of harvest to aid the purple. Im running some Purple Widows, and BlueBerrys, I was hoping to get a even just a little purple out of them

No no no, the best way to make your plant purple is to feed it with 90% H2O2 every watering, as well as covering it in christmas decorations (this tricks the plant into thinking it's christmas, which is cold, so the plant reacts by going purple) and taking all the leaves off. Yes, every single leaf.

Cold is what makes my girls turn purp. The summer they are lush green, but right when winter hits they get all purple... Really really dark purple. Its crazy!

yea, green is the way to go unless your guna be sellin to highschool kids........seriously. in most cases it actually decreases potency, it just looks cool to newbies. unnecessary stress is allways a bad thing.
