How to germinate seeds

This is all basic knowledge but I'd say keep her humid and keep the soil moist. Not too much light needed right now until those sucker leafs come out (small round leafs) then you can up from 1 cfl - 2 cfls and move em closer, then when she gets her 3 point leafs you can add a couple more bulbs or up her to a bigger light. Keep it small on the light until she gets to the right size. Keep the temps down around 75*F if you can. A good way to keep it humid is to get a small pack of clear party cups from Wal-Mart and place those over her until she's too big for that. That will create a small green house for her to stay nice and humid while she grows.
i was already doing the humidity thing

two more ( germinated ) plants are starting to sprout!! woo!!!
im new to this so what is cfl?

when they are fully sprouted should i lower the humidity to normal??

I can help you but this is a Germination thread. Please repost this in my help thread entitled " https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/320357-if-i-dont-know-answer.html " and I will be sure to answer it there. Thanks :D

Kinda old thread, but I am the classical newbie.. I will be growing 2 auto ak47xLowryderII's in the two pot autopot system..
Medium- 3:1 perlite and vermiculite.
Ionic Nutes; grow, bloom, and boost
Rapid rooter starter plugs.
400 w blue MH for vegging and 400 w red HPS for flower.
My question's to all are,
How do I know when to transplant into my 2 gallon pots?
Can I transplant Rapid rooters directly into grow medium, or do i need to carefully remove roots?
How far from the plant should my light be for vegging and flowering?
Should I use my ionic grow for first two weeks of veg, or just pH'd water?

Thanks for your help

i would transplant when you have at least 3 sets of leaves so the plant is stable enough, and im no expert but im pretty sure you leave the starter plugs on..i would wait until the plant is stable in the new pots to start with any nutes...your lights, not my quote
It depends largely on your ventilation. Are you maintaining between 65 and 75 degrees? If so, a 400 watt metal halide can be placed up to one foot away without risking damage to the plants. If the air is not vigorously circulated, the heat is exponentially increased, anything above 80 degrees slows down growth rate with virtually no increase in size at 90 degrees. In that case, 18 to 24 inches. We are talking about seedlings, which means that a lot more light exposure reaches each sprout at one foot. With a fully mature plant, you loose some usable light to the lower part of the plant at only one foot distance, so the larger they get, the better you'll be able to evaluate maximum efficiency of lighting.
