How to Dry your Bud out Faster?

People are always asking how can I dry out my stuff faster? I found a way and it works really well. All you need is a regular box fan the kind you would put in your house window, a piece of screen that will fit over the one entire side of the fan, at least two milk crates or boxes that are the same size.

1. Now take the boxes and place the fan, facing twords the ceiling, on the two crates. One crate on the edge of the fans side and the other on the oposite side of the fans edge. Make sure it is sturdy and will not fall over when the fan is turned on. The air from the fan should be blowing up twords the cieling and the fans edge should be just holding on to the crates.

2. Now take the screen and place it around the top side of the fan. At the edge of the fan make sure you put a luttle hill or screen wall so the bus can not fall off. Put your buds on top of the screen. Make sure the buds are were the air can flow through them. Dont put the buds in the middle because there is no air flowing through there.

3. Now turn the fan on LOW. You do not want your fan to blow your buds all over the place so make sure it is not on high.

I have done this multiple times and the buds dry out in 2-3 days tops. Its like a dehydrator. It takes nothing away from the bud. I did a side by side comparison. One with buds hang drying and the other useing the fan method. The bud on the fan dried 3 times faster than the bud hanging in the closet. The smell was the same, the taste was better, and the high was the same. It can not destroy your smoke so why not try it? I put a drawing on here for you to get a better idea. I am not the best artist but i think I did ok. I would put a pic up but my camera is M.I.A (Missing in Action). I got to buy a new one soon. I hope the drawing helps.

The laziest and quickest way I have found is to put the damp bud into a thin cotton sock (not furry), then put a hair dryer into the top of the sock and blast the bud with medium hot air ... turn the bud a few times and JOB DONE! I t still smokes and hits hard .......I know..I know its very trampish and I am bound to be shot down for that! But anyway's I've done it and it works - STELTHY

LMAO Stelthy.... We all get impatient at times. Before I came up with this fan idea I would hang dry. But if I needed something to smoke immediately I would put some buds on top of the heater in my bed room and crank the heat up. It worked but my heating bill sky rocketed and it was not worth it with the price of oil.

My favorite method is to put some in a grow net, the plastic kind. Then just put it on top of your stereo receiver. Depending on how much you put in the basket, it should be dry in 12-24 hours and is better than many options for quick drying.

wow you all are impatient. lol what about the two week cure time? lmao i only pluck a nug out of my whole plant to do a smoke now smoke later taste test. one doobies worth. lol but even that i hang dry and smoke in 3-4 days... but i always have a fan going in drying closet too. then place buds in mason jars and tuck away for two weeks. ALWAYS better the second time! lol

Patience is a virtue.

If your impatient for your smoke and still want nice cured buds. Do a water cure. Takes 7 days and your bud is dried and cured

Also assuming you don't live in a humid climate...like South Florida.

Another tramp method...get out your camping tent and set it up in the sun with the rain fly on. Open the vents in the tent and hang it up in there. It will be done in a day or two.

I don't want my bud smelling like damp tent :/

i use a home made bud dryer, it's a wood box with 10 screen trays, about 2' x 1 1/2' and 3' tall,
2 pc fans sucking air trou holes on top side coming from hole in oposite bottom,
in 2 1/2 days ready for cure, 3 1/2 days and it's bone dry! (gotta pay attention, catch the best dryness)

you can also re-moisten dryed bud with a tobbacoo tin, little moisture strips in them, back to curing moisture in 1 day or less

i keep a couple buds in for full dry out and the rest getz cured, works great

I've found with the sock and hair dryer method you can get a small amount (about a bowls worth) dry in about 5 minutes. 3 minutes on warm and 2 minutes on cool and it's just right. great for trying out a bowl to check potency, a little harsh but if you have a good strain everything should be fine.

the fastest way is not the best thing for your med...but it works..get a storage tote put a screan 2" off the bottom of the tote.put dry rid,desicant all across the screen cut an in line fan in the top.and let it go. can do a qp in three days or less.you might have to rehydrate some of the really dry stuff..put meds on food dehydrater rings .dont let meds touch the desicant.you will lose smell taste and maybe stength.but it will be dry

What about using a piece of screening layer over a good thick layer of rice.? That should work for small sample nugs...

a food dehydrator had always worked the best for me. like others have said its harsh smoke but itll get ya some buds quick.

You'll all love this..but..when I'm in a hurry...i use a simple paper bag, small nugs in, in the microwave on defrost for 2.30...kills the terpines but gets you medicated..

Xbox 360 works wonders when I want a fast dry. The slow warm air coming out of the vent when played flat. I use the small screen that came with my bubble bags and lay it on the 360 vent. I can fit up to 10-15g if I pack them on there, but I usually just do a small bud or two for a smoke test Or if I'm out and someone really needs some bud. A couple grams can be dry in a matter of he's. And the more you play the faster it dries!

microwave, sessions of 10 seconds, put it in for 10 secs, take it our for a few minutes, remember when the bud comes out the microwave it will be even wetter than it was going int, just let it sit for 5 minutes, i usually do x5 sets of 10 seconds then just leave it for 15 minutes, dry as a crisp, and theres still a taste in the bud, but remember no more than 10 secs at a time, i dried some for about 40 seconds, done 3 sets of that, and the bud was dry tasted good, but never got high at all, just remember quick sessions in the microwave, take it out put the bud on another plate, wipe the condensation off the plate, and put it back in for another 10.

another method we used to use years ago is to take freash cut nugs, wrap them in paper towel, fill an empty margarine container with cat litter (unscented) and bury the towl wrapped nugs in there. place in the microwave for 1-2 mins, and take it out and let it sit for 5 mins or so and chack it, you may have to give it another shot. the cat litter helps draw the moisture out, and prevents the nugs from burning. best method ive seen for speed drying.
