How many gallon container for 4 foot plant. (harvest height)

Is a 3 - 4 gallon container better than a 2 gallon container for plants that average 4 feet at harvest? I believe that giving the roots more room to grow stimulates bigger and stronger plants. Is this what other have found to be true as well? Looking for some feedback please. If you disagree, please provide reasoning or resources for me to investigate.

Thanks

read the grow faq... lazy bitches... 1 gallon per FT is IDEAL so 4 ft = 4 gal... it could grow in 2 gal... or a 10 gal... wont make a huge diffrence... go with the 4 gal ;)

1 gal is even enough space for a 4'er, just depends on how often you want to water/feed and how fat you want the plant to grow.

A 4'er that grows naturally tall and thin doesn't take nearly as much soil to support it compared to a bush that's been topped many times before flowering too, so it depends on your grow style.

Try a couple in different size pots and see what difference (if any) it makes for you.

When I started I read that you need to use a 5 gal bucket with holes. As the years have past I have learned from my experiance that a 3-gal is all I need.

depends on when you are wanting to flower... If you let it get 4ft and then flower, it could be well over 7ft depending on the strain when finished... Or you can let it get 2 ft before you flower and it will finish at about 4ft... in that case then 2 gallon pots have worked for me. 3-4 gallon will be better but not crucial...

chck out my shit i got a good six footer now out of likt a 2 gal pot.; it just depends on how much work your willing to put into it. smaller pot = more work but could mean better herb due to paying closer attention to your babies. :bigjoint:
