While I agree with your surprise in theory... I bet there are a whooooole lot of people on here doing it. I work in property management, and have 'stumbled upon' 10 or so grows. Some had med cards, some not. All are still supposed to get permission. As long as they are paying their own electric, and not damaging the place, then I say grow on! But - personally - I wouldnt feel comfortable in a rental, I waited til I owned my home.

I was sort of trying to be funny, but also the point is that it's not hard to imagine why a person would grow weed in a rental in a non legal state. People have been doing it for a while now, and it's sorta silly to even bring it up on a site like this IMO. Everything posted on these websites when cannabis wasn't legal was generally illegal. Now sometimes it's legal. Who cares what his personal risk assessment led him to do; it's on him

My first apartment I had like 4 or 5 plants in a wardrobe no filter and the land lord and a real estate person came through no issues. I was living in state unfriendly to growing weed. As long as you're not a problem then I doubt the land lord would give a fuck, they want that rent money. Now if you're always late on rent and get complaints a lot then yeah you might want to get a lot of air freshers! good luck

How did you think weed was grown before legalization? It's even dumber to grow in a house you own in an illegal state.

Well it is now that they can sieze it as proceeds of crime. But that is a recent thing....
The difference is that in a rented house there is much higher potential to be caught...for many reasons... whereas in your own home YOU DECIDE when/if anybody can enter your home (aside from the cops)... So all you had to do was keep your mouth shut and grow and the probability of being caught was extremely low...
And that remains the true.
The fact that i had to explain this to you... well... youre probably dumb enough to grow in a rented home too...
And dumber still are those who grow in a rented home without a contingency plan for the inevitability of unwanted entry...

not everybody lives in the states buddy most ppl grow illegaly, this is the place to ask advice on things like this not everyone can afford a house so this is going on.
to be shocked that someone is growing illegaly at home and asking advice on this forum is by far the dumbest thing on this thread.
Iv built my cab very stealthy and even when it is running it is almost silent, so much so that ppl have been in and not recignised it was a grow cab, however i dont want to risk leaving it on on this situation.
Its funny to have someone so closed minded about this on a weed growing forum, what are you even doing here?

No not everybody can afford to buy their own home. Like me....for most of my life. I also wanted to grow pot all my life. So i always had an eye out for a rental place that the owner wouldve been cool with growing. But i never found one so i never grew until i finally bought my own place. Simply because this is what happens.... unwanted entry... thus is what gets people busted or just evicted at least. Its just stupid. Is getting busted or having to look for a new place live on short notice worth growing a few ounces of weed? Just plain fuckin moronic. Unless you got a plan for those occasions of unwanted entry...

If your not dope dealing your chances of getting caught are low in my opinion. Cops want the people with money so they can have that persons money and possessions. Plus, dealing from home brings a lot of attention. It looks like he is in it for personal.
In MI a landlord can't enter the dwelling without permission. Not sure about his state. Anyone that enters without permission is an intruder. You have rights as a renter it doesn't make your house public access because your rent...
