I have run most of the top nutes at one time or another, now Im keepin it simply and playing with salts...Gh ..jacks..Peters ATM ( thanks glad for the jack's... keep your PH up handy if you use it)

I have been growing in hydro for over 3 decades..tomatoes of course.

so ask away

Hey Whiteboy I tried to quote ya here but my computer skills arn't..

ebb and flow trays are something I don't use. but the mechanics are the same. riasing water degassing the rootzone then drawing CO2 and O2 back.

the problem i see for you with perpetual is the wall o weed..can you harvest and replace 1 wall at a time??

Like i said been doing dwc vert will be on harvest number five end of january. wanting to try my hand at the ebb and flow sounded so much easyer.Really woud like to have a harvest every month with both grows if possible. I have a 4x4 27 gallon rez hydron pellets for the medium using GH three part in veg and flower plus nirvinna, big bud,bud candy and kool bloom for nuts. The table is in a 4x4x7 tent with a 600 watt hps what is a good strain to run in the table and should i go sea of green or should i scrog it havent done either one before so it will be a firt time.

yes i have five plants at a time in there at diffent stages all have there own 4x4 screen and are movable i take one out when ready and add new one where is was. They are all in flower. I have a vegg and clone room also.

I think the ebb is easier than Death Without cause ;).. plus having a rez outside the tent adds space and is easier to controll water temps...prob any one of those Bud finishers would be good. sog or scog ??? up the walls, vert!!!! baby

perfect..

Well the 600 is in a flat a cooled hood so it wont be a vert so i will have to learn how to scrog or grow sea of green. I live in the states what are Bud finishers i have some G13 og kush and some nirvani bubblliouis right now. What would you grow in this i will have to keep them farily short not more than four feet tall at max have to have room for light and not burn the tops of.

bud finishers ...budcandy,bigbud, koolbloom... keep it simple..your gurls will love you for it.

yeah flat 600 I would just sog and not screw with a screen...you will want a fast veg time IMHO with plants goin to bud around 24"

MY tent is in my flower room can i just take say ten or twelve clones then when they root put them in the table and run them on a 12/12 or will they be two small or run them on a veg in the table for two weeks then flip i will have to make sure their are now light leakes in my tent if i have to run them on a 18/6 vegg cycle i think its a jardin 120 tent.

I would pick the two weeks then flip. Jardin make solid products. But I'm from the zero light in the flower phase school.

yeah light leaks is what im worreid about to with the tent being in the flower room will have to check it out really good so it dosnt mess up my vert grow. Thanks for the info and have any good stains to run on the table would like at least 1oz per plant.

Ebb and flow was my gig a couple years back. I used 4x4 tables with a 1000hps over head on a light rail. I went with the light rail because the outer most plants on the table didn't get adequate light ..... a 3 foot rail solved that. I used hydroton as well. Aside from being a pain in the nut sack to rinse prior to using, it is also a very light (weight wise) medium, so I found out the hard way that you will need to use a screen or some other type of support to hold the plants upright when your table floods. The plants will literally topple over when the tray fills up if you don't have something to prevent it. The scrog method is ideal, imo.

I built tables using 2x4's, and then attached a 3ft length of wood to the 4 corners of the table and additional lengths of wood every 2 feet. 8 anchors total ..... and then fastened my screen to the support anchors. It worked like a charm!

Best of luck (I hope the above made sense)!

Thanks gladstoned just trying new things and looking for good advise and good friends and fellow grows to throw ideas around.
I dug some shit out to take pictures, I forgot my camera is in the car.
Belle left for dr appt today so she will be gone for a few days.

Today is the shitty part of hydro for me.
I am cleaning my buckets and a few garbage cans of hydroton.

That is ok, I am not bundled up in Carhart gear working out in this bullshit,
I will smile while I wash!

not nearly the interest in the water park as the organic thread. Could it be taht we're in the minority when we go the uber-technical route and science the shit out of our plants? I wouldn't have guessed that. I thought the minority were doing organics (and some hydro dudes in soil thinking it's organic but doing it with hydro gear the same) guess I was wrong.... F it I love dro! I said it, I love dro!

I'm considering trying something new for the next run. I've always used hydroton, which is a major PIA to wash, since I use 4 bags of it every turn. I have to use the bath tub to wash it in, and its a mess, and very hard for me to carry in the house, wash, and carry wet tubs of it outside, and up a flight of stairs at my space.

What I would like to try is the big chunks of coco that retain about as much water as hydroton is. Since I use an ebb-n-grow and a ebb and flow system, what I had in mind is putting pain strainers, which are a very fine mesh, in the buckets, and fill them with the chunks. I think this will keep the junk from the coco out of the system, and importantly out of the pumps, while still draining enough to keep them well fed without over watering.

I love the idea of not having to wash those damn rocks anymore, and coco is so close to a hydro medium it seems perfect. Anyone have any thoughts about this?

Haha. I feel ya on the hydroton. My old lady still hasn't forgiven me for fucking up her jacuzzi tub from years of rinsing that shit off in there.

I use smart pot as filters when I run a coco blend. Either at the waterline of my hydro ton. Or just that pot full of botanicare aeration mix. So far the hydroton is still Growin faster and better...

U think hydroton sucks??? I remember when that shit was new!! And it sucked Ballz then!!

Hey, Homless. I'm thinking of doing hydro with this system. http://www.titancontrols.net/products/grow-systems/flo-n-gro-system.aspx

I love pro mix and this company offers bag filters for each bucket in the Flo n grow system.

What do you think? ~ The Guvna.

I would go with coco over the peat mix.

And the square pot is a very good product.

The titian is so superior to the capcom ebb n flow as to be a silly comparison. Easy to use, flawless.
