High cbd strain

Thanks for the response Professor! I'm in the metro area, but would be willing to drive wherever to get this going. I have a question to bounce off of you and others that seem to be more in the know than I am ....

Is the medicine most effective at a 1:1 ratio, or should I be shooting for a high cbd, low thc profile?
Well I know that it all depends on the disease and illness at hand being treated as well as individual needs .. A 1:1 is equal in terms for oil making in my opinion and as well for those who seek or need a balanced ratio . Often it is a personal preference but not every patient wants THC , although some do like the way they work together .

This is a field of study with not even a backbone to stand at this time in its infancy .. I hope by the time I leave this world that we have become overachievers in this field of study .. But perhaps the possibilities of Cannabinoids and there combinations are infinite !

Thanks for all of the info fellas! I'll tell you this much, whatever I end up doing the end results will be free to any patient in need (providing the cut/seed doesn't come with a clause that it cannot be distributed beyond me). I understand the business side of things, but in my opinion this type of medicine needs to be grown and shared freely!

I will update this post as I move along....

So I have a patient that has been having seizures. I have done the research and came to the obvious conclusion that I need to acquire a high cbd strain. I picked up some meds through a dispensary a while back, made a tincture, and the results have been fantastic to say the least. I will continue to donate for meds until I can get a proper plant in my rotation.

I called various dispensaries and all but one that I called either isn't open, or they don't have any high cbd clones in stock. Green Bee in Ann Arbor was the only one that claimed to have this strain in clone form. They are asking for a $400 donation for this plant. I think that's kinda high considering that anyone looking for this cut is obviously dealing with a very sick patient (where's the compassion) but none the less I understand the business side of things, and I would be willing to pay a steep price ..... but I expect some verification of the genetics of this plant in the form of some lab results. Green Bee was unwilling/unable to provide this, so the lady was nicely told to go kick rocks.

So now I'm facing the prospect of having to buy seeds and start the process of (hopefully) finding a keeper in a pack of beans. Do any of you have any experience in growing a high cbd strain from seed, and if so what company/variety would you recommend? The obvious choice I thought was going to be Cannatonic, but through some research there seems to be quite a few different options out there and I don't want to waste any time germinating and growing out a bunch of seeds only to be left holding the bag. Time is of the essence! Any suggestions?
Green Bee is strickly a middle man for that cut, the really greed behind it is John Evans. Everyone i've met that knows John swears he is a good person and does a lot for the community (patients) but he has personally dicked me over multiple times and the fact he charges $400 (used to be $800) per clone makes me think otherwise. I stood right next to him at the hash bash a couple weeks ago wanting to give him a peice of my mind but decided to just let it go...

Hey stow, pm me your location. My Cannatonic cut has tested higher CBD than any other in the state that i know of with the exception of "Cannatonic X" from GLCCC but he will not give out cuts period.

Although my garden was just destroyed by a flood, i can probably get you a couple unrooted cuts from a friend of mine who still has a mother. Sorry i didn't think of this sooner when i replied to your pm but my head has been spinnin since the flood and anxiety and stress have pretty much crippled my thought process lately...

Pretty good points huel. If I got $400 per clone I could do quite a lot for the community as well. lmao.

I was going to reply to the OP about Bodhi's Good Medicine freebie at the mug shop but I see they are no longer being added to the cart. Looking forward to see what comes out of this line knowing how many Bodhi heads there are in the mitten.

That said, Michigan is kicking ass when it comes to cbd strains, an example is Star Tonic from Research Group tested at Iron Labs

THC 8.35%
CBD 14.84%

less cbd than the Cannatonic X, but a lot more THC, the highest of the high CBD strains tested

Cannatonic X has

THC 1.37%
CBD 19.25%

Good things to come from all of this, it's wonderful knowing the community cares.

Huel Perkins thank you so much for going out of your way and hooking this up! I can't thank you enough. This medicine will be put to the best use that I can possibly think of. The tincture has worked wonders for him so far and I'm sure with these genetics the results will be even better!

Glad, Figong, Fattie, Cory, Professor thanks to you guys as well for your generosity. It's nice knowing that there are good people like you guys out there!

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. INFORMATION was shared not opinions. This is a valuable thread. The bickering that goes on in these forums will chase off anyone who doesn't live for reality tv. Thanks for putting up something good to read. Good job on trying to spread the love and good medicine.

I just looked into the Vendor 'CBD Crew' and apparently, Shanti only did 80 plants for the test(between 7 strains) and after that he shipped everything off. You'd THINK since it came from Mr. nice HIMSELF, they would rule BUT.... They don't, very poor actually. 5 different phenos every strain high male ratio and Hermy traits.... I almost bought them anyways... But... They are sold out everywhere.

Idk if they just sell like hot cakes? Or he stopped producing them? Or he's in the making of better genes??

Huel.. not new to site but 1st post.. diagnosed with a rare eye disease about a year ago.. since then have been getting shots in eye every month.. (not fun).. anyways, trying to find a plant high in cbd as my tolerance for thc is low.. grew violator kush, headband, and cannatonic (regular), but all pheno's seem to be low cdb as not getting much from them . (have not had them tested). would be very interested in paying for a cutting of something I know will benefit me.. not sure how to PM so I just quotes and posted.. (forgive me).. thanks in advance.

Get your meds tested, at least the Cannatonic. There is pretty good odds the Cannatonic could have a decent amount of CBD in it and you might not even know it.

Fuck the R4. Just heard the story of how the people hyping it right now stole it and are giving it away. Not cool. Bad juju behind genes is bad karma. High cbd or not.

Had a great talk about cbd with the Dixie elixir rep the other day. Out here in Colorado they have the cbd thing down. Dixie and river rock wellness are on the forefront of cbd treatments. Many options other than R4. That's just the current hype.

Not sure where you got that info but...the mention of male ratios and hermie traits sounds like you got it from the newb section.

That would be uncool if they stole the genetics, but I need to hear more than just rumor before I will turn my back on the R4. I picked up seeds today and have every intention of growing them out...

On the RiverRock comment, yes they have high CBD strains (I'm a member there), but their strains also have reasonably high THC (around 8%). The Sour Tsunami (Southern Humboldt Seed Collective) was their first Real CBD strain and several months later, low and behold they have their own high CBD strain named the CBD1... but I'm sure they had the developers permission

On the DixieX stuff, yes they seem to have pure CBD products, but they are freaking expensive. I bought some of their scrips pills awhile back to the tune of $10 per 25mg pill.. also, they stopped marketing that their product has CBD in them and just call it hemp oil now (I think cause they are shipping to non mmj states - huevos grande)

Also, I was trading PMs with one of you MI folks about the R4 awhile back, but I forget who I was talking to - you know who you are, send me a PM please....
