High cbd strain

So I have a patient that has been having seizures. I have done the research and came to the obvious conclusion that I need to acquire a high cbd strain. I picked up some meds through a dispensary a while back, made a tincture, and the results have been fantastic to say the least. I will continue to donate for meds until I can get a proper plant in my rotation.

I called various dispensaries and all but one that I called either isn't open, or they don't have any high cbd clones in stock. Green Bee in Ann Arbor was the only one that claimed to have this strain in clone form. They are asking for a $400 donation for this plant. I think that's kinda high considering that anyone looking for this cut is obviously dealing with a very sick patient (where's the compassion) but none the less I understand the business side of things, and I would be willing to pay a steep price ..... but I expect some verification of the genetics of this plant in the form of some lab results. Green Bee was unwilling/unable to provide this, so the lady was nicely told to go kick rocks.

So now I'm facing the prospect of having to buy seeds and start the process of (hopefully) finding a keeper in a pack of beans. Do any of you have any experience in growing a high cbd strain from seed, and if so what company/variety would you recommend? The obvious choice I thought was going to be Cannatonic, but through some research there seems to be quite a few different options out there and I don't want to waste any time germinating and growing out a bunch of seeds only to be left holding the bag. Time is of the essence! Any suggestions?

Exactly my thoughts buckaroo! I can understand charging top dollar for normal strains. If someone wants to smoke it bad enough they can pay the $$$ because there are a million other strains out there that will accomplish the same thing. BUT, these high cbd strains are for very sick people! It's ass backwards to hold sick people hostage and charge hundreds of dollars for them, and then sling other strains for $25 a pop.

Having said that, I'm willing to donate a pretty penny for the genetics. I'm not going to split hairs when someones life is at stake. How do you put a price tag on that? The only thing I ask is that some verification be provided (lab test results).

Iron labs website, member name "mother nature's care club" strain name Acid 8 and 9 (different harvest times) as well as member name best of the best strain name acid.

I had several of the High Priced cuts from Tora Bora to The Cannatonics as well as the infamous Blue Cough that Peanutbutter found , that is no good though as its drifted and sick now from the cuts I have seen ..

The other two cuts went for 500 and I was disgusted so I had them gifted to me after a pool purchased them and I blew them up and then I cut them up and split it to all in the group and then some .. But as of now I am only holding Kaks KO3 its A 1:1 Ratio with Mycrene Terpene readings and this terp is powerful and a much needed element of a keeper High CBD cut as this Terpene makes the Cannabinoids break blood barriers faster and maybe more else than we know ..

Kaks request is that it shall not be sold but passed hand to hand for those in true need .. Would love to see her help your patients and others around the area !

There's a few with the rare Canna Tonic cut here.. and I'm working with someone else on trying to get legit R4 from Colorado to Michigan in any form at all to work with... if/when that happens.. I will have to make a few trips out and about to make sure our peeps closer to Flint and Detroit have a few 100 seeds of each to grow and share with our medicinal cannabis community et al.

It boils down to what it was breed with. I know Sativas, from what I remember, tend to have less CBD.. Hazes being primarily Sativa dominate. Again though, it all boils down to breed.

What exactly do you consider "High CBD" I have seen strains with 1.3% CBD which to most is considered "High" I've also seen some that were .2% and those were okay as well

1.3% is generally a decent one, but there's much better depending on what you can get your hands on. This here is why I want the R4 in Michigan:

I had both of the first two cuts and could get them back once again easily .. I do believe many would agree that a High CBD would begin at around 4%

I'll bite. But doesn't that depend on how it was grown, properly dried and cured, it would take years to get the same results that a test lab got?
Is there a brand/breeder that I can look into this further?

Canna and Tora both look beautiful as well, agreed - without question. Any of the top 4 in that list would work in place of R4, unless the patient has other issues where THC has to be kept to as low of a minimum as possible. Impressive for the CBD on those, thanks for that PPS!

Fenian , I ll let you in on a little secret . The Hemp farmers could take the medical market at any time , CBD as well as other unknown Cannabinoids exist within Hemp plants and its very easy to find this dominant trait in many Hybrids and Land Races . I tend to think of the High CBD phenos and strains as Old World Genetics as most have not been worked with by many until recently .

In my 24 years of growing I know damn well that I killed off a good share of CBD Dom phenos due to seeking only THC Drug producing phenos .. The KO3 noted is Half Land Race and I am sure if one went threw the DNA Land Race Afi they could find much higher numbers yet ..

Hemp huh... I enjoy CBD I like it more than THC, and I cannot belive you would do such a thing!! Lol
In time they will show up, pretty soon the "Cannabis Cup Winners" won't have the "And The THC % On this IS!!" but it will have CBD. And I giggle at alot of stoners that don't even what it is, these strains will come out of the Hemp(Closet) more so then ever once Hemp is Legal

i have a patient with same problem i have spent 3 years to get right the the cbd DNA and i see why they wanted 400$ if they got from a patient they droped like 200+ on it but if you want more info i can and will help you out and your patient

Thanks for the response Professor! I'm in the metro area, but would be willing to drive wherever to get this going. I have a question to bounce off of you and others that seem to be more in the know than I am ....

Is the medicine most effective at a 1:1 ratio, or should I be shooting for a high cbd, low thc profile?

What's even more impressive is that clones of it are 100% -free- if you live in colorado and are a medicinal cannabis patient with card. There are rules should you wish to cross it with other things.. but could you imagine a high concentrate oil made out of that? Body salve/rubs, lotions, medibles for pain? Am quite sure that if you used the oven carefully, you could almost cook off the very minimal bit of THC in that strain and be pure CBD gummy bears or other to toss in a bag, and piss clean on cannabis tests too, while being 100% pain free and ultimately having a higher quality of life. Am seriously contemplating a road trip to colorado should the plan that's been in place doesn't turn out so well.
