Hi-Fi Audio Cabinet Grow

So i built a carbon filter based on fishdeth's cricket basket design.. I didn't cut out the pencil cup bottom, since i didn't have a rotozip. I drilled a fill hole the size of a quarter for the carbon at the top, and just placed the pantyhose stocking over the whole mesh area.

Also had to use a 6" 90 degree air duct to rectangular register as a way to channel the exhaust from my odd shape opening. Bought 1" square wood dowels and created a frame for the duct work. Silicone chalk, wood screws, pilot holes, duct tape used to create airtight connection to the filter device.

Odor is definitely under control. Still has a scent of freshly cut grass, but not the pungent MJ odor. However, the temperature in the cabinet has risen since the flow is being restricted with the filter device. Looking possibly to add a inline 6" duct fan in the future.

Day 94 (Dec 22. ), 51 Veg Days, 43 Flower days

I think my flower day count is off. I started counting from when i flipped to 12/12. But i have been reading that some people start the count when they see the first real flowers... which is about 10-14 days after the flip. I might have be under estimating the time left before harvest. I don't think my harvest will be until middle of January now.. there are sill lots of white hairs.

Any hoo, the buds are getting bigger but haven't really taken off like crazy. They look pretty healthy IMO. I know they are packing on weight every day... watering schedule has been consistently about 3-4 days. My nute ppms are about 300ppm and the run off goes up to 600ppm.

No, generally it works out for me to start the counting when you change the lighting conditions.
My strains said 63-64 days of flower and I pulled them at around 56 days to get a more heady high than a couch lock buzz.
Worked out freakin GREAT !
Couldn't be happier. (:

Nice !
Looks PRO !
Yea, you will probably want to go to an inline.
You might get away with one of these for you small cab, altho I don't believe the claimed 240 CFM, it should work well in conjunction with your existing fans?

Your girls look super healthy and just fine. I wouldn't worry about the flower count being off. Those are typically the growers ideal conditions (hum, temp, medium, food schedule, etc.) there are so many variables that can throw that count off by a couple weeks. Just judge by how it looks and just keep the harvest date in the back of your mind to gauge how far out you are. I've had a couple strains go 2-3 weeks longer because of my setup. Plants in general will react differently in different environments.

But looking at those pics you're pretty damn close. 1-2 weeks for sure, is it an indica dominant strain? Just jumped in now, so sorry didn't bother reading the first couple pages... maybe, I'll go do that now... :-|

Day 107, 51 Veg Days, 56 Flower Days

Just finished the supposed 8th week of flower. i think i am almost there, maybe a week or 2 out still. The calyx have swollen and the white hairs are fading away.

Not sure if it was coincidence or not, but after building the carbon filter, i started to notice a few spider mites on my plant. I believe that the increase in temperature and lower humidity gave the mites a perfect environment. Will definitely have to increase airflow next round. I took action quick and placed a No pest strip in my cab in the 7th of flower. The NPS strip was place in 24/7 for the past week and all mites are dead. I also followed up the NPS strips with a spray down of ISO and H20.

Lucky i caught the mites early, those fuckers definitely a PIA. I will remove the NPS strip tonight and begin my flush also. I will probably just use my RO water without any additive at all, not even CALMag? The plant will be flushed for 2-3 watering cycles before i harvest, which will be in 7-10 days hopefully.

I think it was sativa based on leaf structure. I had to Top, LST, supercrop, prune, to keep it bushy.

Yeah, i was looking at that inline fan. Could work. Better if it had a speed controller. This is definitely going to be added next round since increase in my cab temperature might have caused a mite issue for me.

Gonna chop probably tomorrow. The Buds are very dense. I have been flushing the last 2 waterings with just RO water.

What do you guys think? Ready?

Great Finish... Screw what we think... You now know whats best....

Most outside advice you receive will be from rank amateurs that shouldn't be advising anyone anything, sometimes it gets disgusting to see how bad the advise really can get...

Force be....

Hey where's it at
Day 116, 51 Veg Days, 65 Flower Days

My Plant started taking a lot less water the last 2 weeks. About half of what it was doing before. I think I might have overfed her and caused a nute lockout. Growth slowed dramatically too. This is a great lesson learn for next time. Less is more. I won't be feeding my next grow as much for sure.

Harvest was yesterday, took about 2hr to trim my plant.

The WET weight yield is as follows:

79.5g (actual weight) for the popcorn buds and the main buds are probably over 200g (guesstimate)

so.. total wet weight is about 300g (guesstimate)

126/190 g/W ? Not shabby at all. The next one should crack 190g+
my average watt during the whole grow was probably around 160watts. I had some heat issues in flowering and had to switch out to lower wattage CFLs due to heat. Next grow will be all LED to minimize heat. So... the Watts/gram is: 95g/160watts = .6g/watt Not too shabby at all.
