i have them under 400w hps 24 on.... when should i switch to 18/6...?

the stems look a little dark, maybe its the camera
but there look good

they are green at the base... its a ph camera... so not great...they have stretched a lot....

Id grow them on 18/6 saves on the electric bill and lets them sleep. How close is the 400 ? Stems do look a bit dark. Are you feeding plane PH water and letting them dry in between ?

Shouldn't fill the pot to the top with soil when u plant the seeds. Then as they streach you can add more soil to support the weak steams.

the 400w is around 18/20 inchs away... i had a good look there and the stems are green its just my camera... they are just over a day sprouted... sunday.... i have not wtaered yet.. the soil was moist when i planted and just sprayed top of the soil... yesterday i give the soil a good spray....

need some advice... the hum is very low in tent...around 30%... i have not set up the extractor fan ... should i set it up....?

put the propagator lid back on but lift one corners an inch
this will raise the humidity.

if the temps are good you don't need an extractor fan or intake fan for the next 3-4 weeks
extractor fan/filter are there to stop the smell, keep the humidity low and supply the plants with fresh air
at this stage your humidity low, plants don't really smell till there 4-6" high
there no canopy so you don't need fresh air, just open the tent twice a day will do the job

i have to keep the tent open all day dude.... otherwise the heat

cheers dude... will post pics tomorrow night after i give them a good spray.... i give them a good spray on sunday night... no water since....

spraying the seedling is not a good ideal, as it stops the soil drying out

no you don't want to spray the soil around the seedling, it needs to dry out

if you don't let the top soil dry out it could cause the roots to rot again

when i planted the seeds i didnt wet the soik... i just sprayed the soil after planting.... which was 06-02-16..... i give them a very good spray on the 7th... havent watered or sprayed them since.... when should i give them a good water...? soil is dry...
