Help me understand electricity bill formula. 16 per kwh

If I used a 600w hps for 12 hrs a day at .16 cents a kwh how much would that cost a day?

A kilowatt is 1000 watts, so 600 watts is 60%: so, .6 x .16=hourly rate; x 12=cost per twelve hours

it would be 1.92$ a day if you had a thousand watt light. (12 hr) i take it you have fans and maybe other things that might add up to 1kw.

so at .16 cents a kwh its 1.92 a day for 12 hrs at 1000 watts

$1.15 divide watts by 1000-multiply by hours-multiply by kwh cost or .16- If you want more than a day, you just multiply by number of days after you do the hours.

your looking at about $40.00 bucks a month. that works out to $1.33 a day.
