Help Me Decide!

Ok so I have three possible grow set ups that I can do.

1) Double stacked rubbermaid grow

2) 2x3 closet

3)2x5 closet


Ok so, now my question is to all you experianced growers, which would be the most cost efficiant way to get the best yeilds without my electricity bill spiking up too high..

First, I had wanted to do the double stacked rubbermaid grow with 4 42 cfls and an exhaust/pc fan. Simple enough, BUT...is 4 42 watt CFL lights equal to say, a 250/400 watt HPS bulb?

Because I may just set up a grow in my closet with an HPS bulb.

Basically I want the highest quality buds, for the lowest jump in the bill.

What would you guys reccommend I do?

i am unfamiliar with rubbermaid stacking? But i would say stick with the hps. Cfls are good for the early stages of development but later on when the buds need more light they arent as efficient. What you need are lumens not watts. How many lumens are in a 42 watt bulb and compare it with a hps.The cfls are only efficient inches from the bulb so u have to have multiple lights on a single plant where the hps will cover more area and a small light isnt really all that conspicuous.
