Since I started growing I've found that I look at everything differently.. I've talked about this to few others on this forum, and they agreed somewhat.. I just wanted some opinions from A LOT OF RIU MEMBERS!

Growing has -
  • changed my opinion on all plants
  • changed the way I get light into my bedroom, the sun!
  • informed me of many methods of growing, including ebb and flow, bubbleponics, aeroponics, etc
  • informed me of a LOT of different lights
  • informed me about MARIJUANA! period
  • made my life better day by day.

I really want to thank everyone here on ROLLITUP.ORG ! for every single thing you guys have taught me, or helped me with!

STAY POSITIVE GUYS AND GIRLS!!! :leaf:

love, IHAOQ's

100% changed the way I think and me as a person.

Marijuana was the first attempt I made at growing. That was a year ago and now I have a massive allotment plot for my veggies, a huge greenhouse for veggies and flowers and I grow everything.

I am a server and networks engineer who spends all my time in basements. I now understand the importance of getting out and in the sun myself (vitamin D) and try to get out at any opportunity. (I now have a sunburn issues which I never, ever used to get!)

Thank you plants, thank you for making me realise that sitting behind a computer screen all day is not the life I want.

Peace

It really changed my mentallity. Now i care for plants and how theyre treated. Wen someones doing something that i learned was wrong and hurting the plants i tell them. I lwarned so much plants need to grow healthy and not jus throw seeds into the ground thinking theyre jus gonna grow. I learned about types of light and how to read fertilizers which i never cared about im he past. On top of all that i jus keep wanting to grow everyhing i can lol. Like the OP said id loke to thabk all of you who helped me start my first grow i learned that i gotta change stuff n im still learning along the way...

cannabis saved my life, i was an alcoholic and killing myself. cannabis changed my brain and how i thought about things, it has helped me with so many problems theres no point me naming all of them. my mind is open and i am no longer violent or stupid and ive lost 7 stone weight or around 90 pounds. i would not be here today if a friend dident give me weed and i dident start growing it, i would be deceased i have no doubt about it

It has changed the way I look at many things in life, especially plants. I never payed much attention to these other forms of life. Now I notice them in all their beauty, it also serves as a fullfilling hobby.

I crack up whenever I see basil in the shops, apparently basil and weed are related some how.

Cannabis is now considered to be part of the same family as hops , not basil. Basil is of the Lamiaceae (mints).

*EDIT*

Found this and thought it would be interesting to add..

Also, The active principle in hops is a fine, yellow resinous powder called "lupulin" which is classified as a narcotic because it will dull the senses in moderate doses and cause stupor or coma in larger amounts. From lupulin come two lupulic acids - humulone and lupulone. One of these, "humulone", has the following chemical formula: C[SUB]21[/SUB]H[SUB]30[/SUB]O[SUB]5[/SUB]. "Cannabinol", the active principle of marijuana, has the chemical formula.of C[SUB]21[/SUB]H[SUB]26[/SUB]O[SUB]2[/SUB].

Growing did open up my eyes to start my own business. If I can start a grow with nothing but what I have, I can do that, with my soon to be business in the great outdoors.

Good info. One of my buddies was telling me that cannabis is part of the mint family.. but I guess that's untrue. Haha.

Great job man. I wish I could open some of families eyes, they drink quite a bit and it's pretty damn unhealthy for 'em.. same goes for a couple of friends parents. Thing is, they all smoke weed too.. but they're the "just smoke it" kinda people..
