Heard some babble today about not being able to get a handgun if you have a cert.

sounds pretty bogus to me, but then again i havent had a background check since i got my card, just wondering anyone hear of this?

I've wondered about that myself, my state doesn't have MMJ yet (there's supposedly a bill on the table), but we do have CCW's (and lots of em). I'm curious to see how it resolves.

I've heard not to carry both ( meds and cw ) at the same time, if you have meds on you with a handgun the whole thing becomes a felony...BUT,I have the right to carry both in my state...so it's alittle scary

Marijuana is more addictive than heroin and 10 times more hallucinogenic than LSD 25. Owning a hand gun or ANY sort of gun is just stupid if you're a marijuana smoker.

On the form, applying for a weapon.... there is a box that says "CHECK THIS IF YOUR ADDICTED TO / USE ILLICIT OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES" or whatever


Technically, by being a MMJ card holder, you are "using controlled substances" as marijuana is federally scheduled..... this means in order to NOT LIE you have to check that box..... by checking the box you will automatically forfeit the application...


I don't think they can look you up, in the MMJ databases, at the gun store.... So you can just not check it.... But that's technically lying, with our stupid laws?

What about vicodine?...is that not a controlled substance?... a person eating 6 vics a day for pain can carry a gun...it sounds like they left just enough room for us to fuck ourselves somehow

controlled substance? i just looked at the dea's stupid (11 page) list of bullshit. ADD pills and fibromyalgia meds...the only thing not on that list is tylenol. according to that list 95% of people on earth wouldn't qualify. way to make policy in circles.
