When is speaking considered "Force"? You can yell at me all you want, but that doesn't physically stop me from doing anything, therefore it is not force. If someone speaking over you causes you to shut up, its because your a bleeding heart liberal pussy that needs to grow a pair.
Or you could realize that just like a baby they will cry themselves out eventually, and then you can talk to them in between breaths.

you have no idea what you're talking about. i am referring to town hall public forums of debate. it doesnt matter who shuts up or who hollers. when it is SHUT DOWN then democracy on that level has been halted.

what amazes me is that you can't seem to understand this painfully simple concept. "grow a pair"? are you seriously that far gone?

poor analogy. we are talking about a public forum. i get a chance to say something, then you get the chance to say "you're a stupid liberal pussy" or whatever to me, and then the next person gets to speak, and then the next, and the next...all this while your elected officials listen and HOPEFULLY weigh in on what the citizens want.

now lets say you want to say something important at one of these meetings and before you get a word out, i start screaming "YOU SUCK!!!" over and over. then, on cue, everyone else who was told to do the same thing. advancing, pointing, screaming. "YOU SUCK!!! YOU SUCK!!! YOU SUCK!!!!". then the state police arrive to escort the official out for their safety as well as disperse the crowd and diffuse a volatile situation.

now, as you walk back to your car, your views not heard, from a town hall meeting which was not allowed to conclude....do you feel that your constitutional right was preserved?

thats bullshit no one was told to say anything. the congressman says somthing that is a complete lie and bullshit like "the new health plan will create a surplus of 600 billion" and the whole crowd jeers and says bullshit

thats a spontanious response to a person who lies in front of a large crowd of people

just like the same would happen if a republican calls obama a terroist lover or somthing outlandish like that

you may sit by idolly and let the liers and scam artists take the bully pulpit to mislead and minimize what the opposition has to say. but every one knows its the squeaky wheel that gets the greese and the fucks have not been listening to us so we gonna have to kick it up a knotch so they hear

To expand and revise...

There is no guarantee that your voice will be heard in a democracy. The problem with democracies is that they are nothing more than the tyranny of the majority (however slim it is) over the minority. That is, the crowd that can scream the loudest (either by ability, or because of numbers) is the one that gets heard.

The United States was not founded as a democracy, because the founders understood that such a system would eventually collapse into a tyrannical state where one group deprived another group of their rights, who in turn did the same to another group, repeated infinitely.

The United States was founded as a Republic upon the ideals that everyone should be equal before the law, not that the law should be created upon the whims of a majority, and be used to forward political and social agendas.

What is supremely idiotic of the left is that they insist on crafting new legislation when the best solution would be to strip legislation away. More regulation doesn't create equality, it just creates new "special" special interest groups for politicians on either side to pretend to "protect" the rights of.

Instead of each individual being allowed to do what they believe they should be allowed to, there is a vast bureaucratic machinery dedicated to attempting to protect individuals from themselves.

when a crowd of people begin chanting 3 words and standing, approaching, and hollering in a hostile manner,
discussion has ended. the meeting is then shut down: as in the cops come, politicians leave, and the place is
cleared the fuck out. thus, the democratic process has been willfully sabotaged for NO GAIN but to spite it.

seriously, what part of that is so hard to comprehend?

*edit* you people really have no idea what the purpose of a town hall meeting is and yet your opinions are so solid. what sort of thought process leads one to do that?

It doesn't matter what the laws are or are not... criminals are what we are trying to stop.. no?
and a criminal will do whatever they want because they are CRIMINAL... so if guns are illegal, if guns are illegal at presidential events, if guns can't be carried out in the open or concealed... then we will simply stop the noncriminals from having guns..

the bad people will always do bad things because they are the BAD... DUH!

Government Proposes Massive Shift In Online Privacy Policy (8/10/2009)

Changes Would Pose Serious Threat To Americans’ Personal Information, Says ACLU
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CONTACT: (202) 675-2312; [email protected]

WASHINGTON – The American Civil Liberties Union submitted comments today to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) opposing its recent proposal to reverse current federal policy and allow the use of web tracking technologies, like cookies, on federal government websites. Cookies can be used to track an Internet user’s every click and are often linked across multiple websites; they frequently identify particular people.
Since 2000, it has been the policy of the federal government not to use such technology. But the OMB is now seeking to change that policy and is considering the use of cookies for tracking web visitors across multiple sessions and storing their unique preferences and surfing habits. Though this is a major shift in policy, the announcement of this program consists of only a single page from the federal register that contains almost no detail.

“This is a sea change in government privacy policy,” said Michael Macleod-Ball, Acting Director of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office. “Without explaining this reversal of policy, the OMB is seeking to allow the mass collection of personal information of every user of a federal government website. Until the OMB answers the multitude of questions surrounding this policy shift, we will continue to raise our strenuous objections.”

The use of cookies allows a website to differentiate between users and build a database of each user’s viewing habits and the information they share with the site. Since web surfers frequently share information like their name or email address (if they’ve signed up for a service) or search request terms, the use of cookies frequently allows a user’s identity and web surfing habits to be linked. In addition, websites can allow third parties, such as advertisers, to also place cookies on a user’s computer.

“Americans rely on the information from the federal government to research politics, medical issues and legal requirements. The OMB is now asking to retain the personal and identifiable information we leave behind,” said Christopher Calabrese, Counsel for the ACLU Technology and Liberty Project. “No American should have to sacrifice privacy or risk surveillance in order to access free government information. No policy change should be adopted without wide ranging debate including information on the restrictions and uses of cookies as well as impact on privacy.”

very nice I was wrong, I didnt know that was actually happening,

I guess there was a few of them like you said, but this is actually encouraging me.

see the difference between you and me is you see the representatives speaking at these protested town halls as heros since you gobble up thier coolaid without a thought.

I see them as the menecing enemy trampling on my freedom. so this kind of grass roots protesting is a great thing.

im willing to bet you dont get a very good paycheck. if you got a decent wage you would change your mind about your politics and realize that they are changing america into somthing america is not.

and america is the greatest nation ever created on this earth

now if you think changing the greatest things on earth is a good idea.

like changing the best looking woman on earth

or changing the coolest freind on earth

or changing the best family on earth

then that would make no sense.

so the only thing that i can deduce that would explain your logic is that you do not think america is the greatest nation ever created.

but then i submit why not move to the nation you think is the greatest and just leave this one alone if you do not like it

its like a woman who marrys a man to change him. instead why dont you find a man you that atually like instead of trying to change something u obviously do not like

People are just plane pissed.
Many expected Obama to be a moderate.
Now they are confronted with this nonsence.
I hope it fails.

We would all be a lot better off if we had to pay cash for health care.
Prices would fall fast.
'Insurance' has distorted the markets by creating huge pools of availible cash.
Go back to cash payments prices would drop.
Health savings accounts.
High deductable major medical.
and tax breaks for Pro Bono work for doctors

Solves everything and doesn't destroy the most efficient healthcare in the world
(In terms of speed availibility of veried services IMO)
Doesn't create a huge branch of government welfare jobs.
(Englands system employs 1.4 million people that about 1 in 50 people.
Most of whom are government ministers)

People are just plain sick and tired of Government oversteping its constitutional limitations.

truth is stranger than fiction wouldnt it be funny if the revolution happens not because the old ass hippies take over but because of the backlash from the moronic policies they will try to implement

you will never drown out homless poor and suffering. its a fact of life.

thats why life is hard

if you try to help them all they will end up just flipping over the lifeboat and we all die.

i know its painful but once the boat is to breaking capacity you must row away and count your blessings. or you doom everyone

If we paid cash the doctors would not be willing to spend hundreds of thousands to get taught how to do the procedures. Because people would not be able to pay them enough to continue to keep their practices open and pay for the expensive equipment that they need. So it would take decades for America to recover from that.

Why insurance works so well is that it is a huge invested pool of money that grows. And because people usually don't have huge issues all the time they don't have to pay out all the pooled money so it can continue to grow. This way when people need the care theoretically the pooled money will be more than enough to pay for it. But as the insurance companies want to maximize profits it is much easier to simply cancel people that are costing them too much money by having lawyers figure out loopholes on their applications.

The problem with most of these protesters is that they have not gotten any real facts about this bill and how little effect it will have on anyone with insurance now.

Almost everything that is being said about it is lies. And they are not making an educated argument.

And Obama is a moderate, most the liberals want a more comprehensive system, not another national insurance plan just for those without insurance.

well i appreciate that you fessed up to it. about 90% of the clowns on this internet have a tendency to either 'exit stage right' or try to shift the topic to something really stupid like "you don't like america!"

I guess there was a few of them like you said, but this is actually encouraging me.

you are failing to see this from the point of view of one who's opinion opposes the mob's. the meek shall inherit the earth and so long as we allow the volume of a roar to dictate the democratic process,
we are in very dangerous territory. when the more agressive are allowed to make their opponents shut up, the very essence of what this country attempts to stand is broken. once that becomes acceptable
our freedom is truly and willfully and Enthusiastically surrendered.

im willing to bet you dont get a very good paycheck.

if you got a decent wage you would change your mind about your politics and realize that they are changing america into somthing america is not.
personal assumption (and horseshit btw) i will dignify it no further.

Pay only cash for schooling to.
No loans.
Prices will drop fast.
These programs have unintended problems.
Just like insurance they have distorted the markets.

We as a nation need to save more anyway.
We need things like Health savings accounts.
Collage savings funds.
We need to get government out of the markets.
They are incapable of managing them anyway.

Keep your money spend it how you want.
It is your sweat that created those dollars.
You should do with them what you want.
Stop burdening the people.
Stop sending swarms of federal agents to eat out our very substance.

The government can't run the fucking mustang ranch, for Christs sake.
What makes you think they can run health care?
Its just a bad idea IMO.

Q:What are the 2 biggest social programs the government currently is involved in? How are those programs doing?

A: Social Security and Medicare, they have unfunded Liabilities in excess of 60 Trillion Dollars, that is to say they are under water, red ink all the way.

Lets let the government take charge of a HUGE mutha of a program and see how well they do. My money is on them completely fucking it up like everything else.

If we did this we would fast become the most uneducated country in the industrialized world. Private schools, which are essentially pay to play, cost between $8k to $25k a year. The costs of those schools continue to rise and don't lower in prices like you said they would. The only the people would be able to afford education for their children would be upper middle class and up. And imagine if you have 3 kids going to schools at the same time.

And if you really wanted to help set them up for school (k through a 4 year college degree) you would be talking about spending $136,000-$425,000 a year. for each child. And someone that makes $10 an hour it would take them 6 1/2 years (at no taxes and every dime going towards school) to pay for the lowest end school. Just to try to better their kids future.

Pooling money is the best way as a society to be able to afford what is needed.
