Have some plants strong and ready to go into the ground somewhere around or slightly after May 24. I don't know anything about Lethal Purple, but you're looking for the fastest finishing strains you can find to beat the frost. The season is short and, depending on the year, the fall can be brutal. Mold resistance is also key. Your plants may grow like crazy all summer, then the cold, wet season hits and you've got a beautiful field of rotten bud. If you can get your plants in before October really sets in you have the best chances. Here's hoping this season is ideal! (We don't need rain every day.)

You may want to give them an extra week or two before putting them outside, more towards late May. Eastern Ontario always seems to have a last burst of cold, and I've froze my ass off on many a May 2-4 Weekend.

How was last fall in southern Ontario, Willie? I'd imagine not too far off from ours...grey and raining everyday. My tops started to go to slime, harvested a field of bottoms...no complaints though, smoked well. I used Advanced's outdoor sow release ferts, along with all the sheep manure in the beds. And didn't have to water once thanks to the rain.

Here's hoping to a bumper crop in Ontario for '09.

for your 1st grow get basic nutes.. I used 20-20-20 for veg ($7) for 6+ years.. a 10-52-10 for flower.(7). there are better but these are all available at any hardware.. just give partial strength and don't exceed 5ml per gal water, as burn may happen.. at that strength I nute after 1 month old and only 3-4 times a month... chech soil to make sure not pre-nuted... luck.
* grow a plant or two then tweak system... IMO.

2 X 26W cfl on a Y splitter will do 2 nicely..just rotate and turn them..... then god willing we'll have a early spring, put out during day in late april and under spa lights at night... get cool = veg(blue spec)...

auto ak only takes 10-12 weeks from seed but, they require alot of sun/light to grow to full potential. you want to put them out when your area has the most sun/daylight hours, early summer into full summer lots of light! check out .farmersalmanac. if you havent already.

you will yeild more if you grow an "early" strain that will finish in your area on time. autos are cool but, i wouldnt grow them as a main outdoor crop. not tryin to steer you away from it but, to harvest a decent amount for your effort/$ you have to stagger multiple rounds of them, when you could just grow an early strain (one round) and harvest potentially more with less involvement per season.

peace!

i live in NY so no, not from experience. just do some research you will find somethin that you like. femminized seeds make outdoors way easier and, well worth the money unless you want to propegate seeds. germinate indoors when threat of frost is gone veg a couple weeks and, harden off. all the while prepping your plot/s. good organic soil mix, chicken wire, mulch, bloom fert(for the fall), and shitloads of waterbongsmilie

goodluck
the simpiler you keep it the better.
dont tell a soul!
peace out.
