are those leases pretty lengthy to begin with?
like 75 years?
the ones around here on the federal gov land...go with 99 year leases....most still have 60 plus on them...
I was told by a realtor that alot of the algonquin leases are up in 2016 and the ministry has already said they arent renewing anyone inside the park so alot of houses n cottages are going to need to be moved

built a place out on Joe :)

It was the Hockey Players and Stars who sent the market out of control.

that will be a bummer....for plenty....but that's how the lease things role....
but you got to wonder if they will just turn around and sell these established homesteads, to get
today's market values, on leases which just happen to be due.....this year...
shows you how the feds are just clearing housing....as much stuff as possible....before they actually
can't anymore.

I know...the properties went berzerk ....small cottages fetching huge sums....
though not hugely different over in the redstone and kennesis part of haliburton.
lots starting in the low 800,000's
just kidding about the boat....thats all I could afford...lol
I have some buddies from my icefishing days...from Joe

The islands out west are awesome.

Built a custom, post and beam BC home out on the north west side of one of the islands on Joe.
To say it was friggin awesome was an understatement.
1998 ended that Era. :(

approx 15' by 36' with a 9'-6" ceiling.....in the style of a gambrel(barn)
the enclosed part of the structure and sheathing is already built...but would like to
get someone to do some of the room design....Redi...when I'm a bit closer and have some cash put together....
we should talk....
also was planning on growing on carts....for easy moving...so the floor of the place would probably be patio slabs....on
crusher run...then 25 to 40 gallon grow bags, on the carts..
Sure sounds good.

Yup love it north of Barrie almost everywhere...unless it's June/July....bugs plus. I don't bother going then. I got 10 acres in Muskoka that I use for 3 seasons. No not a big rich cottage....more Hippy style. I don't go in winter since I sold my sled.
Maybe we need a communal RUI greenhouse up there. Wouldn't that be cool if you rent greenhouse space with other members to grow your own. Only trouble were all too far apart...fun thought though. Pay a dude to tend it. Oh well back to other half of my doob.
