Nobody has yet to mention HOW to INSULATE properly, ecs if it was seen through windows and not the roof and walls. I see alot of advice on what kinds of reflectives to use indoors but NO advice from anyone on this site about insulating from wandering eyes ( those with infared sight). We can never underestimate authorities and who's stopping them from taking the skies again on some stakeout checking over people's homes looking for too much heat coming from a residences...no different than them watching electrical usages...or flying ahead looking for plants grown outdoors...Who HAS THE ADVICE ON PROPERLY INSULATING WINDOWS FROM INFARED????!!!!!!!

LEAD.

they dont look like the brightest bulbs in the pack.

They got a tip, then they got a warrant (based on the tip), then they verified with the helicopter (using the warrant, which is required in the U.S.), then they busted them.

It started with the tip. Don't be paranoid of the copters. As long as you don't give anyone reason to get a warrant, the copters can't do anything. I mean, grow lights are not illegal. I have some tropical bonsai, and I winter them with a grow light -- there's no law against that.

Of course, they can cheat the system, if they're very suspicious, by providing their own tip -- one of them calls the police station with the 'tip' using a disposable cellphone or something, then tosses the phone. They get a warrant based on that, then verify with the copter's FLIR, then bust in. So, don't make them suspicious. Nothing in your trash, no heavy foot traffic, no loud parties, no gangs of people on your porch, no dealing from your home, nothing in sight through windows or from the air, etc. Common sense stuff.

Does anyone here know if the FLIR can pick up on the heat sig of a 600hps? or better yet the heat sig of 1-2 1000watters???<for future set-up< BTW, I will be venting to the attic above garage..I also heard if you do a long duct run,(via a in-line duct booster fan) you can cool the air down dramatically before it enters into the attic...say 50'......help!

they were in my area all week for various reasons. lo, they were litterly overhead on a manhunt. hehe, i though stoned, well I am screwed by default.

not so,

but something to think about, random manhunts and chases could lead to some accidental busts.

i hear they have avtually caught "grow trucks", whatever the hell that is this way.

There are a couple of products on the market one is called Poly Shield, its just b&w poly some how infused with a material to block IR detection. http://www.greenandclean.ca/id385.htm

Hydro Innovations also has some cool shit where they actually have air cooled reflector covers that blocks IR detection http://www.hydroponics.net/c/530

Also there is a selection of Thermal Shield pretty much the same shit as Poly Shield but they say it sticks better and is more reflective http://www.hydrowholesale.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=hydro&Category_Code=LA :weed:

True... however.... I'd rather see these 2 citizens supplying their County then the border-jumping illegals who come with their shitty ditch weed!

Know what I mean???

:peace:

ur coming off as a prick, and why does it matter who grows the weed, weed is weed and its grown everywere by different people, kinda seems that u have a little grudge against "border jumpers"

Seems to me the " border jumping illegals " are coming up here looking for work and a decent wage that is unobtainable in their own country. They work hard, harder than most of us I'm sure, and support their families, just like you and me. Well, me anyway. The brick weed is being brought in by the cartels, usually in vast amounts. That's who you need to have beef with. Sorry, off the subject, I just take offense to that statement as well, especially considering the fact that almost 1/4 of this country used to be part of Mexico.:wall:

17lbs of herb sounds like alot, but they didn't say if the weight they measured was dried bud, wet bud, or freshly chopped down plants. Also, 204 plants sounds like a lot too, but how many of those plants were small clones? I know there's many out there that ALWAYS take more cuttings than they need, then just choose the best ones to finish off. Not everyone is good at cloning, ya know. I will admit though, they dabbled in too much shit. They could actually be in more trouble for the prescription drugs if they were dealing those than the pot. And btw, those lights looked totally cheesy- like they stole them from a parking lot or something.
