Green roots in hydro - Normal????

i would say next time just use soil...you really cant go wrong and its so simple to do xD

Take no notice do the best thing grow both soil and hydro i grow hydrophonics and i have never heard of this my root system are always reay nice and white.Not sure about light getting on your roots though need more info realy mind you i only have two trays that i can get about 5/6 plants in each people say change your water in your reservoir every 2 week but the infomation that i recived of a long time grower of hydro told me to change your tank or reservoir once a week you take a look closely and you will notice a white powdery substance on the side of your tank.By changeing the water once a week you will get rid off any excess salt build up.It's a pain haveing to clean you tank once a week but i swear it makes all the differance.Make life easy by useing around 15ltr a week that way there is around 3/5ltr left during veg the plants can use nearly all 15ltr.I have done test on changeing the water or just topping up the old the results were unreal the plants changed 1 a week were alot more happy than the once that i just toped up you have to take into account that there was only alittle water left in that i was topping up its the shit salts and other shyt that you get in your tank give your tank a good clean once aweek and you will see the differance.
