Ya, one blog reports Jamaica is not the safest place. The plane fare is pricy and a Passport required. There are hidden fees and a large Black population. I'm white so I would only be a target. Sounds lovely but too much whoopie for retired guy.

Btw, a passport is needed for people in some states just to board an airplane (google real id and tsa) for domestic travel.

I'll clue you in since you don't seem to travel much. Americans stand out almost everywhere. Even in Normay. And we are increasingly finding people hostile towards us just because of our feckless leader. If you want safe, stay in your basement.

I would give up smoking and growing to be able to retire there lol, but that's just a lifelong dream, unfortunately ill probably work till I'm on my deathbed

Sell my work to the thousands of x-pats living there. Canadians, Brits, Americans. All retired and sick of the political climant. They'll be my market. Great weather, super cheap.
