Sucks you got busted man, hopefully you can eventually get it expunged from your record and live to grow another day.

But you really need to take a look at yourself when you thinking about being a snitch. Sure, they might be douche bags, but they have been smart enough to not get busted unlike you. If you really think being a rat is the way to go, I hope they still don't reduce your sentence, and then the guy you snitched on has his friends "make things right".

It sucks you got busted but be real and admit it was your fault, don't let the revenge be on you for snitching, if you put anyone in harms way it should be the one who tipped off the police.
I second that. You knew the risks you took when you started growing and now you have to man up to it. I know it's fucking bullshit. That being said, I really hope things work out for the best for you and that you do the right thing.

You can grow anywhere, just keep it under wraps.

1) Loose lips sink ships
2) Light leaks have ended many gardeners careers
3) Never consent to a search

I am sorry for your situation, and I do wish you the best, however :)

In Texas -- the max is 180 days and/or @ $2000 fine. If I can skip by with no jail time, no license suspension, & get it off my record I'll be happy.

I just don't want it on my record as I've worked hard to keep it clean.

And yea -- I'm not falling for the whole informant thing.

Yea, no warrant. I know -- broke the #1 rule :( Panic-mode set in....
It NEVER comes off your record

I'm actually not too worried since the low weight should keep it a Class B misdemeanor and I have a squeaky clean record. In Texas -- the max is 180 days and/or @ $2000 fine. If I can skip by with no jail time, no license suspension, & get it off my record I'll be happy.
In Texas, cultivation is a FELONY. The lowest possible offense is the following, according to Norml:

Amount incarceration fine
Less than 50 kg felony 5 years $250,000
So where does this classB misdemeanor charge come from?

Class B is for possesion under 2 oz. They get real mad if you have a bunch and have intent to distro. That stuff makes folks rape and kill ya know? Box of sandwich bags and/or a postage scale is good evidence of intent or so I heard:)

What has happened, you got nabbed back in october right. Sorry to ask the obviouse, but Did you see badges? have you heard from the police since? some 60 year old lady just got raided because someone tipped off the police in northern colorado (Yampa) and they used two swat teams, and CO is a medical state. I would think the good ol' boys of texas would love to suit up and break down doors if they got tipped off, I had a friend of a friend get ripped off the same way, bunch of guys came in and pretended to be cops and stole his stash. wondering what happened. does the Maintenece guy still work there? Did they ask you to move out? just curious

and you should go to church anyway not just because you didn't get busted;)

Keep us updated.

I've been busted for simple possession before. It really sucked, a lot of waiting around, not knowing what was going to happen. They offered me the informant thing and I said fuck no. Don't go down that path bro. Remember from the words of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog:

"We'll give you 20 G's if you snitch on your homey,
We'll put you in a home, and make your life plush,
Oh yeah, but you got to sell dope for us."
Hmmm, let me think about it
Turned my back and grabbed my gat and guess what I told him before I shot it.
"If you don't quit, yeah, if you don't stop, yeah, I'm lettin' my gat pop"
Cause it's 1-8-7 on an undercover cop.

They were 100% plain clothes narc officers -- badges and seizure inventory sheets and everything. I ran them off because they had a dog at the front door which I heard pawing ( I'm up at 4 AM :p ) and they didn't want me to see the dog (German Shepherd). They got the tip off from the maintenance guy, but they had to verify with the dog to get a warrant. They told me afterwards that what I did 'was the better way' because if they got the warrant they were coming back later that day to kick the door in with a SWAT? team.

So far haven't heard back from the police about anything. I watch the warrant sites for my name but nothing has come up. One of the lawyers told me about a guy growing over 100 plants in the city that got seized in 2008? that was never followed up on. Hopefully I'll get lucky *knocks on wood*

Pot Lawyers. While technically growing a single plant is a felony, It very rarely is filed as one. The law establishes the maximum penalty scale, but so much is left up to the judge to decide. I've heard of people getting 30-days jail time for 1-2 grams, then guys getting away after having 100+ plants seized. Crazy bullshit IMO......

Well I got a phone call this morning. Class B misdemeanor (180 days, $2,000) charge w. the warrant for arrest to be filed in the next week or two.

They offered the snitch deal again. I asked if they had any documentation form someone with the authority to drop the charges if I snitched, but of course the detective said "No." LOL.

Texas is starting to piss me off.......
