Got spider mites

Mites are a bitch. I fought and fought them but everything just kept them down and did not fully eradicate them.

Seems impossible to get rid of them when growing perpetual. I only got rid of them by starting over. Bleached everything after harvesting and killing the crop.

Waited weeks then bleached the room again. Started over with new buckets. Haven't seen them since.

I am having my mite problems in a small outdoor greenhouse. What would you suggest for that? Could our -40 winters kill everything and be rid of for the following season?

I am sure winter would. I have little outdoor experience I am not sure how to keep them away. I used doctor doom bombs before and spider mite killer from growers trust.

I would keep fighting them until you harvest.

Yeah the battle continues! I am still seeing quite a few mites and eggs after my 3 applications of the alcohol solution i am experimenting with. It could potentially be that i am not getting the entire plant ( they are leafy as f***). I'm gonna try it a couple more times and saturate the plant more. The alcohol seems to be doing no damage to the buds, so that's good. I also have a damn catepillar eating and shitting all over my damn plant. Ohhhh the joys of outdoor gardening :wall:

FYI - Dr. Doom is about $9. The Pyrethian TR (?) bombs are about $21 but they have about 10 times more pyrethian than Dr. Doom Beethoven is another one that is $24 or so.

Just used some Mighty Wash this morning. I will let you know.

Here is how you can make a clone of Mighty Wash for cheap.

The guy makes a good point of using kids bubbles that you can get at the dollar store versus Dawn or other detergent.

Better soaps are Ivory Liquid or Dr. Bronner's Peppermint.

Yeah - this is what he said too. He said stay downwind or have a fan or respirator. 70/90/91% ISO is strong stuff. The evaporation is good for mites and plants.

I cannot never understand people who drink strong alcohol but Diet Coke is probably just as bad and especially anything from Pepsi.

Aloe vera or an aloe vera based shampoo makes a great surfactant as well, plants seem to LOVE Aloe!!

Okay dawgs. Not pimping here. In fact I posted the video to try to clone Mite-E-Wash on the cheap.

I used Mighty Wash in flower. Loads of dudes have sworn by it. It is essentially water with some electrolysis, supposedly a tiny amount of Neem and a trace of Pyrethian. It is not cheap but it seems to work in Flower. I am sure it also works in veg.

Sadly, it nuke some of the ladybugs which really upsets me. I tried to remove as many as possible. Ladybugs are good for thrips but not really spider mites. Mighty Wash is not cheap but when you are in flower and need something pretty fool proof - it seems to work.
